Great, very romantic
by SingingSara
Flemings is so yummy! Need I say more, it has a wonderful selection of Martinis, try the key lime pie drink. The steak is huge, so go hungry, try it, you will be glad you did.
Prime beef, a comfortable atmosphere and an extensive, user-friendly wine list are the signatures of this upscale steakhouse.

In Short
With a decor of dark wood, leather upholstery and soft lighting, this clubby steakhouse has a warm, upscale feel. The menu's focus is prime beef (aged up to four weeks), from bone-in rib eye and filet mignon to New York strip drizzled with bearnaise sauce. Classic seafood offerings include lobster tails, steamed crab legs and wild Alaskan salmon; sides, served a la carte, include baked potato and chipotle mac and cheese.

Disappointed in customer service
by AUBURN6
Our service was slow and inattentive. It seemed our waiter attended to two of the four tables instead of checking all the tables during his table visits. After eating our salads and having the plates cleared, the waiter then came over and asked us if we had even received our salads yet. He seemed overwhelmed.
After waiting for our entrees, which we considered to arrive in an untimely manner, we noticed the manager visiting tables in this section. He visited two of the three remaining tables, bypassing our table and not inquiring about our experience. At this point, we had comments to share with the manager about our service. Unfortunately, we were unable to talk with him then because he did not look our way.
We asked a food runner for the manager to visit our table. When asked why he had not stopped by our table to see how our service was, he replied that we were just beginning our entrees and did not want to interrupt. However, he did visit the table next to us even though their entrees had arrived shortly before ours. We felt slighted that we were not one of the important 60 tables in the restaurant. We had concerns and feedback for the manager in regards to our service. While apologetic, the manager's response was he had 60 tables to attend, and he could not visit all of the the tables in a timely fashion. He told us he was "sorry we felt that way", and repeated that line over and over. This response disappointed us. A genuine apology for the lack of service was all we needed.
We felt that the service by the waiter was below standards. The manager's concern for our feelings was insincere. We did not ask for any portion of our meal to be taken off the bill. We just wanted to express our dissatisfaction, hoping that further patrons would have a more pleasant dining experience than we did.
The only things that was great was the wine.

I can't begin to tell you how disappointed I am with the quality of the food. I'm not one to write a bad review, but the food was horrible! My filet mignon was supposed to be cooked medium and it was chared and badly burned. I have had better steak at Friday's for ten dollars! The caesar salad was made of wilted romaine lettuce and tasted bitter, not to mention the disappointing side dishes. The only good things were the customer service and the wine. I'd save my money, if I were you.
- Pros: Great customer service, great wine selection
- Cons: Long wait time for food, poor tasting food
Great food but too noisy and casual

Went to Flemings the first time last night. The food was terrific but pricey, especially the wine by the glass ($17) and everything's al a carte. Our tab came to $190 with tip.
Service was very good except we couldn't hear our waitress above the din. She tried to explain the specials and how dinners could be ordered, but we just reverted to reading the menu because we couldn't understand a word she said. I was expecting a quieter atmosphere where one could enjoy conversation but not have to shout across the table to be heard. The decor is nice and woody, but the wood ceilings contribute to the noise level. Also a bit disappointed at the dress of the patrons - I know nashville is a music town, but kids in shorts and sandals, lotsa blue jeans - i was definitely overdressed with a sport coat, and this detracted from the meal. Expected more elegance from this prime steak house - or perhaps that's just nashville. As you can tell we're not from here originally.
Steaks were very good; but I have had better (try Sam's Steakhouse in the St. Louis suburbs). Will probably try another nashville steakhouse or two before/if we return to Flemings - searching for the best steak, service and atmosphere.
Any other suggestions in nashville?
- Pros: Good steaks and service
- Cons: Price, noise, too casual for an expensive dinner
Wonderful ambience, romantic setting, great steak, even greater customer service!

My husband and I went to Flemings for our Anniversary. We had 6:30 reservations and were seated promptly after arriving around 6:20. They knew it was our anniversary and the manager and our waiter (Tim) both wished us a Happy Anniversary and throughout the whole night, they treated us with such great service. My filet mignon was excellent!!! I have NO negatives about it. I did not even use the steak sauce that I requested. There was no need to! My husband's double pork rib chops were excellent as well and the apple cider sauce they prepare it with was extremely delicious. The sides are big enough for 2 people, depending on how much you eat. Our glasses never got below half as there was someone there to always fill them without asking. We were then ready for dessert! The Creme Brule was exceptional. It was even brought to our table with a candle. It is served with a whipped cream that is beyond words. Definitely no Cool Whip recipe here! From the time we pulled into the valet to the time we left the restaurant, our experience was all A-Class!! Even the restrooms were top of the line in class.
On a side note, this is an ala carte restaurant, so you will have to purchase your meat, side, etc. separately, but I must say it was all well worth the price. It will be a night to remember! I know we will.
- Pros: Romantic and Impeccable Service
- Cons: I will let you know when we find some!
to date, the best steak of my life

Amazing service, a stake to die for, and prompt curtious service! We treated ourselves to wine, apatisers, an amazing steak, and desert, in a night of dining i will never forget
- Pros: best steak of my life, and everything else was right up there too!
- Cons: a bit pricey, but worth the cost

Let me start by saying that I eat at different steak houses all over the US. From Morton's to Ruths Chris, to Bones in Atlanta to the Chop House in Chicago and so on. I am very fond of all of those steak houses, but Flemings for the price, service and their wonderful filet, is very hard to beat. I have eaten at fleming's in Nashville 4 or 5 times, and I have never had an average steak there. They have always been excellent and cooked just like I requested. My girlfriend agrees also that this is one of the best yet. The atmosphere, wine list and servers are all also top notch... Can't wait to go back..
- Pros: Filet, Service, Quick Valet...
- Cons: NA
Best steak in town
by tbird24
The best steak I have eaten in Nashville. The gratin with the jalapenos was also delicious. I had a bleu cheese vinaigrette dressing on the salad and loved it. A little expensive but split a steak with your spouse and get two salads and there will be plenty of food.
- Pros: great food and service
- Cons: parking was a nightmare, expensive
