I just discovered Pie In The Sky's new Midtown location, and i was BLOWN AWAY!! They've added an awesome patio onto the front of the old Longhorn steakhouse location on Lyle Ave off West End. They've expanded their two for one drafts to all day every day. They're staying open until 2 am most nights, and their food is better than ever!! My brother was happy that he could smoke on the enclosed patio, and the vibe inside the restaurant was as hip as any place off, or on, West End. We're planning on trying their late night scene soon. Apparently, Henry and the Seahawks are playing every Thursday PM. We had a great lunch of quickly-served custom slices with piles of chunky, fresh toppings, and a delicious jumbo wing sampler with numerous savory and spicy sauces. The service was attentive and professional without being stuffy, i.e. HIP: everything that I love about Midtown!! We'll be back very soon.
- Pros: Free Parking, Great Draft Beer, the BEST Pizza around!!

I like to think of myself as a connoisseur of pizza and I have to say that this is my 2nd favorite pizza place EVER (2nd only to Mellow Mushroom). The pizza is delicious and the atmosphere is fun (planets and astronauts theme). I HIGHLY recommend this restaurant. If you like pizza you will love it!

We live in Memphis and my family and I went for a quick trip to Nashville on Thursday. Someone recommended us going to Pie because it was kid friendly. OMG! I was blown away with how good it was. The "Traditional" wings were the best I have ever had- perfect spice and texture. I wanted to try the many other varieties they offered but needed to save room for the pizza and that was the fantastic part!! I really couldn't get enough of their pizza. I had a thin crust veggie. A perfect amount of sauce and cheese and great crust, crispy and flavorful. So, goooood, what is their secret ingredient?!?! Also, I really like the fact that they use all fresh ingredients like REAL sliced mushrooms, not the canned ones!
Apparently they are a Franklin fixture (suburb of Nashville) but we went to the newest store on Lyle Street near Vanderbilt because it was by our destination. I really liked the atmosphere (cozy, warm and a cool scene). If I did not have kids, I would have loved to hang out and drink a pitcher of beer.
Lastly, I met the owners (a husband and wife team). They were checking on the service at each of the tables. It made me like this place even more because they seemed like really nice, hard working, honest people... a true American "Mom and Pop" operation. Anyway, I just wanted people to know what great food they have- it is rare to be so enthusiastic about a restaurant. We use to live in NYC and got use to really good pizza. Since we've been back South nothing seems to compare except... finally... I have found Pie in the Sky!! I only wish they would build one in Memphis!
- Pros: Fantastic food!! Great service! Family friendly!
- Cons: Really none!
Unbelievably Better Food! Fun Place.

I've grown up in Nashville and eaten at every pizza place I know of. This place is really raising the bar. My girlfriend loves the Alfredo Lasagna and I love the Thai Peanut Pizza. The food is so good I keep dragging my friends in to prove it. There hasn't been a disappointed one yet. The facility is amazing... It's full service... They put me and my girlfriend in a large 2 person booth that's romantic and fun... the cooks make the food in front of you... they have two for one beers everyday!.... They have great parking... The place is clean... The staff is well organized and friendly... I can't go on enough how much better this place is than all of the other pizza shops in Middle Tennessee.
- Pros: Great Food, Great Service, Great Facility,
- Cons: None
Burnt food, bad parenting atmosphere and all around terrible

This was the worst service, food, and experience we have ever had at this restaurant. We make it a point to always stop for at least one each meal while we visit Nashville, which is usually 5 to 6 times per year. This was absolutely terrible. There were screaming children and parents who smiled and thought the answer was to laugh or walk the uncontrollable child around the restaurant. The pizza was burnt, and came out before the wings appetizer or spaghetti. Hey, what did they do with the sauce? Do the cooks think they are Emeril, with the Garlic laden spaghetti sauce. The BURNT pizza was replaced by another slightly less BURNT one. The manager (?) said he would discount the pizza, but when the check came it was exactly the full price, nice discount! The waitress seemed not to know what was going on or how to handle the situation; I suppose the entire staff was too busy not noticing the screaming children with their bad parents. Guess what? DO NOT bother with this restaurant; Cool Springs Food Court is a better bet. Go to the Waffle House!
- Cons: Burnt Food, broken promises, bad atmosphere

Comparable to Mellow Mushroom, Pie in the Sky has outstanding pizza and similar dishes. I prefer Mellow Mushroom's calzone over the one here, only because I didn't understand why they put ricotta on it, I usually don't eat that in a calzone. Their carnivore pizza is a great pizza covered in multiple pieces of meat, this is definitely my favorite from the restaurant. I don't come often because it is a bit of a drive from Spring Hill, but the few times I have visited or taken home pizza were worth the price. (Which is a little expensive, but what else would one expect from this great chain?!)

I went there for the first time this weekend and have to say that there is no place around that has such wonderful pizza. We loved that they have a small section dedicated to people wothout children dining with them, it made our experience much more enjoyable. Although it was obvious that they are very kid and family friendly! My husband and I are already anticipating eating the spiral bread again, and what wonderful service we recieved. The young man that waited on us was Andrew...ask for him, wonderful!
- Pros: Great service and food
- Cons: be prepared to wait, there pizza takes longer than most

My Mother and I go to PieInTheSky in Cool Springs every week. It's the only pizza that doesn't give her indigestion. I spoke with a manager who said that the reason there food is so much better is that they have low acid fresh tomatoes. He also said no trans fats and only real olive oil and butter. I never knew that other oils in the products caused indigestion. It's really great to have a pizza place care so much about the food. Since they don't really advertise the food facts, I thought I'd help them get the word out. They also run the best service outfit I've ever seen in the pizza biz. I read a few of the negative comments on this site and I wonder who writes such complete slams? They don't review the food, they just slam it. Kinda sounds like jealous competition... not real food critics. I've eaten at many other pizza places in Nashville that are all about drinking and cheap food...I prefer great food anyday!
- Pros: No Heartburn
- Cons: I have to drive 12 miles to get there.
