It's not bar food, it's Jonathan's!

One of the best-kept secrets in Franklin! Looks and feels like a better-than-average sports bar, but the kicker is the food... really fantastic and much, much higher on the charts than even typical "good" bar/pub food. I ordered the tilapia sandwich and it was humongous, nicely-seasoned, tender and juicy. Will definitely come back here when we're in town again.

I can't agree more with your other reviews. Jonathans is a great place to go. We all want the most for our money these days and they have a special everyday and every hour. Great value and great prices. Between the food, specials and staff this place will continue to be the BEST place in Franklin to go..Football is around the corner and who offers all the packages and the most tv's in town.. I'll see you at Jonathan's!!

Amazing employees

Love the bartenders, love the servers and can't live without the managers. And I mean it. If we had more places like this place the world would be better off. Huge portions of food, stiff drinks and reasonable prices. What more do you need? They make my day and my kids would rather go to Jonathan's then McDonalds.

This place Rocks!!!

I am a bar expert and this place rocks!! I have checked out every place in Williamson and Davidson county and Jonathan's is in my top five! Franklin has very few places to hang out and if you are looking for a good looking staff and clientle this is your place. But if you want to hang out with Teeny Boppers all Under One Roof or at Dan Smokey Quinnes that's your prerogative. Jonathan's staff is one of a kind, and if you have had a bad experience there your the only one. They have great specials but there service is by far the best reason to visit. Believe me I know..

Best staff, great specials and tasty food

Been going to the Cool Springs location twice a week for more than 4 years, never had a bad experience. They always have a special and there staff remembers your face. Can't say there is a better place to go in all of Nashville. They do have a simple dress code- no bandanas and no sleeveless shirts, can't blame them for that, who wants to eat next to a hairy armpit? Fun place to go any day of the week and happy hour everyday. Wish there were more locations..

DRESS CODE

They denied us entry unless my husband took his head scarf off-- we left-- we've never been there before-- we will never go there again. From reading the description, the fact that they are a sports bar-- shocks me that you can't have a hat on of any sorts--

I will NOT patronize an establishment that has this attitude.

Always awful service

I have been going to Jonathans for over four years. I have NEVER had good service there....seriously, not once. The food is pretty good and I like their drink specials. But I don't go when I'm in a hurry. I know that it will take 15 minutes for a waitress to come take my drink order and I always ask for my bill when I get my food because it will take forever for them to bring it to me. Once, the waitress actually LOST my credit card. When she called me at FOUR AM to tell me she found it, she was still going to charge me for my food!! I had already canceled my credit card by that time. I read all the other reviews and they must have been written by the Jonathans staff/owners because there is NO WAY that some one would actually say that they had good service. The only reason I go there is because my friends like to go there and they complain about the service as well. You would think in four years they could find some waitresses that could actually do their job. And several of them have been working there for a long time and they STILL don't know how to do their job. Service is slow, waitresses are rude and the food is fair. Don't waste your time. Go to Tin Roof or Dan McGuinness in Franklin instead.

Good food, great service

If you like live music, go at night on a weekend. No matter how busy the place is, good service seems to be easy to find. I never had to call for anything. the food is great, especially for the price. I am going to keep this review simple. If you like the bar atmosphere, and the slightly aging Cool Springs crowd, this place is worth trying. As I mentioned in my McDougal's review, Jonathan's has better chicken than McDougal's.

Questionable customer service.

The food and service was great. My only complaint was that I was given kind of the run around when calling about a copy of a detailed receipt. I was told to call back the next day between 9-5 (first call). When I tried this I was told that they were too busy due to their March madness Luncheon. They already have my money (roughly $60 over two nights). I felt that someone could have taken a few minutes to pull up my bill and fax me a copy.

Best hometown bar, Best happy hour, Outstanding staff

Just moved to town and was looking for a hometown place. Jonathan's is a HOMERUN!! Service excellent! Food great! Atmosphere outstanding!! This will be my new hangout. Tired of chains?? Aren't we all. This is the place that will meet all your needs. Love the staff and love the clientel. Check it out..
