A Big Disappointment

We are new to the Hendersonville area and are dependent upon the restaurant reviews on websites such as this. After reading all the great reviews about 2 Country Hot Spot we went there during lunchtime yesterday and to say the very least it was one of the worst meals we have ever had. Half of the restaurant seating was closed (even though the lunch rush was obviously starting) so we had to take the only table available right by the servers drink station, which meant my spouse had to sit next to me instead of across from me for there was no room between the seat, and the wall separating the server area from the seating area which would have put anyone sitting there into the path of the flying by servers. We sat there for over 10 minutes before someone acknowledged us. We ordered the catfish and fried chicken platters. The catfish was bland, the brussel sprouts mushy, the fried okra was cold, the chicken patty was tiny and rubbery, the potato salad was soupy and flavorless, and the mash potatoes tasted like instant with bland gravy. We received one glass of soda, no offer of refills and no other service once the food was received. They did however swoop by to clear the plates and drop off the checks. The atmosphere was extremely noisy, cafeteria like and hustling with no leisure whatsoever. The servers all had sour looks on their faces and definitely DID NOT show any customer service. This is obviously a place that is surviving on their old reputation and locals who haven't eaten elsewhere in a long time. I won't ever go back and I do not recommend this place to anyone.

Do yourself a favor...and try the best place in town!

My family and I love going to 2 Country because we know we'll get a GREAT meal and incredible service. We've made it our regular stop on Sundays and it's always something to look forward to. The food is amazing and the people are wonderful. If you are looking for somewhere to take your family, do yourself a favor and don't pass this place up. I've ordered the same thing each time and it never gets old. If you're lucky, the owner may even sing for you which is something you don't want to miss. As soon as you walk in the doors, you feel at home...the waitresses are always friendly and eager to meet all of your needs. We bring all of our friends and family and they're always begging to come back. Do yourself a favor and DON'T pass this place up :)

*Recommend: Meatloaf, fried apples, and sweet potatoes...the best you'll ever have!

Good Family Dining

I've visited 2 Country Restaurant a total of 4 times. It has been a great dining experience each time. I highly recommend that everyone go there because you can't beat the prices and the great atmasphere. The restrooms are always clean and the cashiers and servers are very friendly. If you want a nich place for family dining, then this is your place.

BEST MEAT AND 3 IN TOWN !!!!!!!!! DO STOP BY

I have been going to this resturant from the day they opened the doors back 7 years ago. They have the best food in town. The owners are two great souls. All the girls and guys that work for them make up a great staff. They will check on you to see if you need anything, all are friendly. I have eaten here at all times of the day breakfast, lunch and dinner. I LOVE EATING AT THIS PLACE IT IS LIKE HOME. The cooking reminds me of my mothers cooking in a lot of ways. To all that read this review do yourself a favor and try this place out you will be glad you did. To Tyler and Michelle keep up the good work.

Do yourself a favor and drive right on by ......

I had high hopes when I first went to this place. I loves me a good meat n' three. Tried it first on a Sun aft - soon aft they moved into their new location. It was busy, so we expected that to have SOME effect. We were waited on pretty quickly, but our party got their food in stages. First, a couple of people got theirs. We waited a while. Then, another couple. Before the second stage of food was delivered, the waitress came out and announced they were out of some things they ordered. She returned to the kitchen to have their food prepared. We waited a while. Their food comes out. We waited a while. And then she comes to another couple of people at our table. They were out of some things they had ordered. This happened multiple times. We kept asking ourselves ... "Why on earth aren't they looking at the entire table's order and getting it all right at the same time?" It took 45 minutes ... yes, 45 minutes ... for the last couple of people to get their food. (They are waaaaaay more patient than I am.) The worst part of it? No one ever uttered an apology or explanation for the delay. And had no one spoke up at our table, they still would not have their food today. Amazing. In the worst possible way. No apology. No explanation. And no concession for the inconvenience. It was clear to us that they just didn't care what we thought.

Today, my mother went there - not knowing this was the place I had told her about. It was a weekday and not busy in the least. The service was no better. The food came faster, but the waitress was completely inattentive and talked on the telephone while she served. Even worse, the waitress walked around with her hand on top of the coffee cup -- yep, her nasty hand right where your lips go. Gross. Oh, and the biscuits? Gooey in the middle. And we live in the South. That's almost a prosecutable crime.
