When you walk into Salon Ya Ya , you are greeted by a friendly staff and they do it right away. No funny feelings of "do they know I'm here" I was serviced by 3 different girls which worked out well with the time I had. I wanted a cut and color but then I also needed a conditioning treatment and my eyebrows done. (which I did not have an appointment for) They all worked together to give me exactly what I wanted!! I feel like they all did such a great job for me. They really listened and asked a lot of questions before starting on my hair. This was also a welcome change. My color and cut were beautiful and I felt great when I left! They taught me about the products they used and didn't make me feel like I had to buy them all. But I did anyway! This is a great little salon and should be on your list of great places to go to get what you want!! I highly recommend it. I read reviews earlier about it not being clean or them not listening. I found none of that to be true! Go Salon Ya Ya!!!!
Pros: Parking garage, and easy to get to.
Cons: Didn't find any

I am surprisingly particular about my hair dresser as I don't like to have to tell my hair dresser exactly what to do in order to have a good hair cut. After my local hairdresser left Memphis, a friend in Nashville recommended Salon Ya Ya. While visiting Nashville, I made an appointment with Courtney and just had a great time, and got a great haircut. She knew what would look good and how to do it without much input from me. I was so happy with the result I have been back and will go back again...
Pros: Friendly, knowledgeable staff
Cons: Can be harf to find a park during the week.

I drove 300 miles to Marilyn and threw myself on her mercy and expertise after getting one of the worst haircuts of my life (think bad mullett) at a salon in another state. I was hoping for a haircut that would at least make my hair bearable until it grew enough to cut into a new style. Marilyn, however, spent so much time, worked her magic and I walked out of the salon with an excellent cut and a good style. Do I love Marilyn and her salon? Ya! Ya!
Pros: Marilyn and the other stylists really listen to clients.

Don't listen to these crazy reviews, well all 3 of them... FIRST of all... unsanitary girl... DUMB, ive seen first hand the employees wash their combs.. clean out their brushes all of that stuff, IVE SEEN IT! SECOND of all Ashley the girl who the other 2 reviews are about DOESNT WORK THERE ANYMORE !!! so please ignore these bad reviews... i know first hand they give you what you want, its a great intimate enviornment THEY LISTEN and care so much about each and every client. At Salon Yaya its about QUALITY not QUANTITY.
Pros: everything
Cons: NOTHING

I've been going to Salon YaYa since my mother recommended it to me two or so years ago, so when I accidentally turned my naturally very light hair into a black hair dye disaster, I knew that I could trust them to fix it. As I expected, they did an awesome job. The process took all day, but I actually didn’t mind hanging out- the amazing stylist in charge of my sorry butt (The lovely Cristin Carnes) even ordered me lunch! All of the stylists there worked together to make sure that I left happy- and I definitely did. Not only did they fix my mess, but I actually love the way my hair looks now! I’ve been to salons all over Nashville ranging from walk-in barbershops to expensive day spas, but I’ve been faithful to Salon YaYa since my first visit. If you want a FAB haircut in a chic (yet still surprisingly welcoming) environment- go to Salon YaYa. You will not be disappointed.
Pros: You're guaranteed to leave happy- I promise!
Cons: I have no complaints at all...believe me, if I did you would hear them.

I had gone to a salon, whose name I will not mention, that butchered my hair. It had turned out purple and bleach had pulled some of it out. I went in to Ya Ya's (with a hat on) to see what could be done. Marylin, Keri-Lyn and Cristin spent eight hours lifting the purple out and fixing my hair to actually look like...well.....hair again! I've never been so happy with the way it looks, and I still can't believe they were able to do it! I owe my dignity to those girls! Thank you Salon Ya Ya!!!!
Pros: Incredibly clean and knowlegable.
Cons: If you want your hair to look crappy, this is not the place for you.

I went to Ya Ya to get my hair cut. But while i was there i noticed no one was cleaning their combs or brushes! I'm really particular about the tools used on my hair and to see them continue to use the same utensil on client after client is disgusting. They didn't even have any of those jars with the blue water in them. If you want to keep your hair safe...go elsewhere

It's been over 2 years now...and I am very thankful to have found Marilyn to cut and style my hair. She keeps my hair the healthiest it can be. I have very "fine" hair that needs a lot of attention and Marilyn does it best . Marilyn always give me tips and free goodies to try...I would say if you want a good change in your hair style then book an appointment at Salon Ya Ya...the whole staff is welcoming!!! Thanks for doing a fantastic job for me! Pam C
Pros: Can work with fine hair...
Cons: ?

I recently made my first visit to Salon Ya Ya and I'm SO happy that I found this salon. I was treated with incredible care from the time I stepped in the door until leaving with my beautiful new 'do. I received the best haircut I've had in years. The color also turned out great! When I decided I wanted to add a few more highlights, they worked me in as quickly as possible. It is obvious they want their clients to be happy with the services they receive. They were also very helpful in suggesting the proper products for my hair and it feels so much healthier after my visit. The conditioning treatement made my hair feel soft and healthy. They provided a very relaxing and enjoyable experience. The scalp massage given during my shampoo was heavenly. I DEFINITELY recommend this salon!!

Marilyn has been cutting and coloring my hear for over a decade... She does a great job and I get consistent compliments. I'm a "low maintenance" type and Marilyn truly gets that. You have got to love a "wash and wear" haircut that can go anywhere - even to the board room! Salon Ya Ya is a friendly place where I always feel welcome. Highly recommended!
