Yummy!

My friend brought me to Royal Thai - I had never heard of it...or even had Thai food before for that matter.
The selection is vast! Although, I do wish they had more healthier options...or at least put them in one place. Everything was delicious, especially the spring rolls-probably the best I've ever had. Definitely get the Thai Tea - so good!
The service is great. Each time I've been the server has been very friendly and respectful. The prices were very reasonable - I just wish I made enough to eat out more - because I would be here much more often!
- Pros: Yummy, Good Service
- Cons: Not closer to my house :)

This is the best Thai in town! My favorite dish is the Panang. It's so yummy! And, I like that they prepare it without the grape leaves and other stuff that some Thai restaurants include. I get it mild which is spicy enough since this is a curry dish. We have never eaten in, only carry out. Highly recommend this spot.
Consistently delicious

We eat here quite frequently and find that the food is consistently delicious. We've never had to wait for a table and the wait for the food isn't terribly long. There is a koi pond outside that is helpful if you are trying to dine with toddlers or children who find it hard to sit still for an entire meal. We also order take out quite often from this location. Take out service is VERY quick.
Absolutely Great!

I had some hesitation about trying this Royal Thai after reading the reviews here. I'm glad I chose to go anyway. The service was excellent - friendly and very competent. The food was wonderful. I ordered my food medium, and it had a good kick to it. There is a considerable vegetarian menu, and there are three vegan appetizers. The ambience is nice, especially for the kind of place it is. I was very impressed, and I will be returning.
- Pros: Tons of vegetarian/vegan choices, great flavors, wonderful service
- Cons: none
This popular minichain brings flavorful fare to the 'burbs.

In Short
It brings to the suburbs the same Thai cuisine that has kept diners returning to the original location downtown. Regulars keep coming back for the spicy, exotic flavors this minichain is known for. The menu, a combination of rice, noodle and curry dishes, reflects common Thai fare. It's rendition of tom ka kai soup (chicken, lime juice, lemongrass and kafir leaves in coconut milk) therapeutically soothes a hungry stomach.

The food is good, not the best I have ever had, but it was flavorful. You can ask for the spice level you desire. The waitstaff is OK, not the greatest, but that can be improved. We had 4-5 dishes and most of them were very good. Give it a try!!!!
- Pros: FOOD
- Cons: SLOW WAIT STAFF
Fine if you like bad service

We went to Royal Thai several times, hoping it would get better, it didn't. The waitress decided to eat her own dinner in full view of the patrons, while we were waiting for ours to come out, and it was late when it finally came. They appear to hire people who are better at bad manners than being good waiters. Not really a family place. We tried the take home once, but we ended up with someone else's order and had to drive back and order again. They should have comped the meal, but chose to charge us for having to go there twice and order twice just to get dinner once. The place feels like it may be owned by someone who never goes in there to check on the staff. Too bad, the location would make the place more successful if they really cared about bringing you back.
- Pros: It was not wendys
- Cons: The staff was rude

Coming from out of town-Looked for this restaurant and was pleased with the rather long list of items to choose from. Admittedly I came alone, which reduces the amount of dishes I can order. My dish came out and it was great. The service was serviceable, that is, it was good. The restaurant was quiet and pleasant. Felt a little strange that it played American music, but I don't know anything that should be more appropriate.

We just moved to this area from South Florida, we have been looking for good places to eat out. We love Thai food and this was a disappointment. The Pad Thai was bland even though we asked for medium spice. Their version of cashiew chicken was equally unimpressive. Although the food was not "bad" we would not recommend this or go back. We are used to a much better level of taste in our Thai food. We will continue our search.

A good restaurant and a great standby for the weekdays that you don't feel like cooking. Of the 20+ dishes that we have had there only one (1) was not correctly prepared but it still tasted great. If you like the tradisional heat that comes with Thia food ask for the dish to be prepared "traditional thia".
- Pros: Friendly Service, Selection, Food
