WONDERFUL FOOD, SERVICE, ATMOSPHERE, ETC.

We dined at Mambu on Valentine's day and the entire experience was AMAZING. The food was wonderful, the service was impecable (which is very hard to find on Valentine's day). We did have reservations and were seated immediately. The entire meal was the best we experienced in Nashville. I would highly recommend Mambu. We had appetizers....salad....entrees..and desert and all was incredible. Enjoy!
- Pros: FOOD, SERVICE, ATMOSPHERE

Outstanding dining experience in off-beat atmosphere. From staff to food this restaurant is flawless.Global
fusion at it's best!! We loved our meal from asian dumplings to lambshank with Indian flavors. Coconut
cream pie to rival anyones! Don't miss this gem. Prices very reasonable for the experience and the
quality. Dinner with2 drinks each, appetizer, entrees, dessert to share for under $100,

After being advised to pay Mambu a visit by a chef who works in the same kitchen as myself, I finally found an excuse and made a reservation. After briefly chatting with some of the friendliest staff I've ever met I ordered a Moroccan-style lamb shank. The lamb was perfect, no exaggeration, it was tender, lean, flavorful, hot, gorgeous. I will be returning when given another excuse to treat myself.
- Pros: bloody good food
- Cons: n/a
Extraordinarily Diverse Menu with a Touch of Fun
by lhfoster at Citysearch
My wife surprised me with a birthday trip to Nashville and found this restaurant on the internet. Although usually skeptical about finding spots like this, I went along for the ride. WOW!!! From the minute we walked in the door the people were unbelievable. The drink menu at the bar should have been our first clue. Great specialty drinks and wine selection in a setting that was comfortable and fun. The dinner that followed was exceptional. What a great selection from appetizers through dessert. I could have ordered five different meals and still not had everything that I wanted. If ever in Nashville, you have got to try this place. I know I can't wait to come back!
- Pros: Diverse Menu, People, Service, Bar
- Cons: Rooms for seating are a little tight if there are large parties
My favorite

Mambu is always a 10 for me. Mambu is where my family have been going for every birthday, anniversary, or any special ocassion. Both dinner and lunch are great! I love the fun whimsical decor and the food is always creative and delicious! You would expect the prices to be on the higher side but are very reasonable. Try the mango martini, one of my personal favorites. The service - it does not get any better or more unobtrusive. I will be coming back often.
- Pros: ambience, piping hot food, creative and delicious
- Cons: none
Great food and service
by njlady at Citysearch
mAmbu is one of our consistent favorites in Nashville. The martinis are good and the wine list is more than adequate. The menu is interesting and small enough that everything can be made to order. We love the gyoza and lobster roll appetizers and the fried calamari is hard to beat. The duck breast and pork chop mains are terrific as is the steak which is usually one of the the chef's specialty menu additions. We are not dessert eaters, but they always look wonderful and our friends enjoy them. We recently hosted a small party at mAmbu and all our our guests had a wonderful time. The service, as usual, was excellent and the ambiance is always fun and welcoming. We look forward to our next visit!
Great experience

I went to Mambu last night for dinner and I couldn't have been more pleased with our experience. The cocktails were fabulous and they had a really nice wine selection for reasonable prices. We had the crab cakes for an appetizer that were well seasoned with a great combination of flavors. I picked a Corvina special for dinner that was light and tasty, and the chocolate creme brulee was fantastic! Our waitress was funny, attentive, and very accommodating. Also, the decor of the restaurant is inviting and unique. I will definitely go there again!!!
- Pros: Ambiance, service, food, drink selection
- Cons: Parking

The creative decor is a perfect match for the exciting, globe-trotting cuisine and playful dessert selection.
You have got to be kidding!

Seriously. I read these great reviews and wonder where these people are eating! Not at the same restaurant where I have been eating. I have given Mambu 4 chances and only once was it a good experience. I like the idea of Mambu, but the service is HORRIBLE! I went last weekend for a friend's birthday... BAD IDEA. The server brought our appetizers at the same time as our food but we didn't have silverware or napkins and waited another 5 minutes with our food in front of us, we had emply drink glasses for the entire meal, we requested a dessert menu 3 times and finally got them from the hostess after a member of our group got up and requested them, then our waiter went our for a smoke break and never took out dessert orders. Then he had the audacity to include a 20% tip on our tickets. I will NEVER go back. Don't waste your time.
- Pros: great drink menu if you can ever get your order filled
- Cons: service!
