love this place!
by elteebee80
I came to Bobbie's for the first time today, and I gotta say it's one of the best and funnest places to eat in Nashville! I had one of their cheeseburgers, and it tasted better than any other I've had in town. And my husband really enjoyed his burger with melted bleu cheese. All the ingredients were fresh and the patties were juicy and cooked to perfection. I came back for a strawberry shortcake for dessert, and it was amazing! REAL homemade shortcake, not that spongey-cake stuff! And the ice cream was the richest soft serve I've ever tasted. I asked the girl there and she said they use their own special blend. All the staff there seemed friendly and knowledgeable about their products and the history of the store. I always see long lines outside Bobbie's and now I know why! I will be coming back many times! This place is worth it!
- Pros: I love the atmosphere here! It's a vintage place without being campy. The music they play is great and fun!
- Cons: Can seem a little expensive, but the quality of the food makes up for it. This is definitely strides above fast food!
BOBBIE'S IS AMAZING
by Samantha797
Bobbie's Dairy Dip is one of the most fantastic restaurants in Nashville... and I've eaten at a lot of restaurants here. Here's what they have (at least that I remember, they have an impressively extensive menu for being a walk-up and order kind of establishment): burgers, hot dogs, amazing grilled cheese with tomatoes, fries (regular and sweet potato), onion rings, milkshakes beyond your wildest dreams, vegetarian-friendly burgers, a medley of ice creams, and chili in the cold season. Aside from the food, the atmosphere is unbeatable; they have neon ceiling fans and picnic tables... seriously, that's cute.
- Pros: Food, atmosphere, general ambience of the establishment
- Cons: A little pricey... and since everything is made fresh, there's a long wait for food (understandable, but uncomfortable on those hot summer days)
Ripped Off!

I've been a Bobbie's regular for many years, but I'm sad to say today was the last day I'll ever go back. I was overcharged for my meals and when I brought it to the cashier's attention, the only response I received was "I don't make the prices".
The menu states that kids meals are $4.00 each and I ordered two. I was charged $8.50 for one and $7.65 for the other. For those keeping count - that's an overcharge $8.15. The regular size combo I also ordered was $7.50 - less than either of the kids meals. Like I said, when I brought it to the cashier's attention, the only response I received was "I don't make the prices". How's that for customer service?
To top it off, the sodas they used to serve were regular sized sodas - probably 20 oz. cups with this great crushed ice. Now they are these tiny 12 oz. cups with massive ice cubes - like a kiddie cup. Four sips and it was gone. It wouldn't have bothered me as much if they hadn't already overcharged me $8.15 for my meals.
I hate to dis a place I've been loyal to for many, many years. I've even sung their praises. But to receive that kind of customer service for a mistake they they made...well, I feel I've been totally ripped off and don't want it to happen to anyone else.
outstanding frozen desserts
by tmclean1
I thoroughly enjoy the ice cream selections at Bobby's, but I disagree with the reviews that rate the burger as good. I have tried burgers all over this area and find Bobby's burgers to be lacking, specifically they are too dry. Everything else is great.
- Pros: frozen desserts
- Cons: sometimes difficult to park.
This fast food and ice-cream shop near Richland Park is a local favorite.

In Short
This popular old drive-in box receives a steady stream of lunchers and passers-by. The 100-percent certified Angus beef double-patty could feed an entire family. Belgian-style potatoes get the double-fryer dip and coarse salt for great texture. Park your car, order from one window and pick it up at the other when they call your name. Most customers grab and go, but there's ample, shaded picnic-bench seating on the side.
vegetarian friendly
by sequin_blu
not only is bobbie's ice cream yummy, but they are the best vegetarian fast food in town. they have 2 veggie friendly burgers (garden and black bean) both of which are loaded with toppings. i love that they have sweet potato fries along with the standard white.... although i have noticed them to be a bit soggy the last couple of times i visited. over all bobbie's is well worth the visit. (i just wish that they were open durring the winter!)
- Pros: the best veggie burger in town
- Cons: not open durring winter
What a burger!
by swangirl
I'd been hearing the buzz about Bobbie's so I stopped by today. The cheeseburger I had knocked my socks off. Juicy, tender and greasy...the perfect burger. The fries were good but as someone else said, they were on the limp side. Still, well worth the trip and I'll be back for more.
- Pros: great burger, fast service, good price
Cheeseburger in Paradise
by bonnieblue
I've lived in Nashville all my life. I've eaten every burger in town. Bobbie's honestly has the best tasting cheeseburger I have ever put in my mouth. If I could make these at home...I would never eat out again
However, something has happened to their fries. The used to ROCK, now they are always soggy, the cut of potato is different and the good salt they used to use is gone. Bring back the old fries, please.
- Pros: The Best Burger, Kicked Back Patio, Great Ice
Bobbie's RULE
by vanderbiltgirl
My husband took me to Bobbie's one day for lunch and I couldn't believe how wonderful the ice cream was. Since then I've had the burgers and the hot dogs. They all have great fresh taste. The worst thing about Bobbie's is that they are closed during the winter months. *cry*
Perfect

Great cheeseburgers (you can actually taste the cheese, which is unusual), fries (try the sweet potato fries), and ice cream.
