Old-school atmosphere and magnificent cuts of meat make for a memorable meal.

The Scene
Rademacher's occupies a renovated house on the campus of the old Castle Heights Military Academy. The restaurant is named after Pete Rademacher, a graduate who achieved fame as a boxer in the '50s. The two-story house has four dining areas, including a cozy bar lined with pictures depicting cadet life through the years.
The Food
The house specialty is chops: veal, lamb, turkey, or the grandaddy of them all, the two-pound prime rib chop. If big hunks of meat aren't your thing, they also offer a selection of chicken, fish, and pasta dishes. The house salad, smothered in egg, bacon, cheese and croutons, is a monument to times gone by.
Well worth it!

Expensive and out of the way, but beautiful and delicious! We eat everywhere, and had one of the best meals in town here last weekend. I had a lobster and chicken dish, and it was truly to die for. Their location is hard to find and I wonder how they stay open, but it is worth the trip for this entree alone.
