Tips for Bishop's Salon & Day Spa

Wouldn't change for the world! I have been going to Mitzi every 6 weeks for over 10 years. She keeps my style current, my color perfect, and me very happy to manage my look. Over the years I have had numerous strangers comment on how great my hair looks, and ask where I have it done. What a compliment to Mitzi! The salon is lovely, everyone is professional and friendly, and I love the Aveda products. I highly recommend Bishop's Salon. Believe me, you will not be disappointed!

FANTASTIC! I've been going to bishop's salon and day spa for the last few years and I must say I've had the best hair experiences of my life there thanks, first and foremost, to mitzi. Every member of staff that has rendered services to me there has done a great job as well. I travel far and out of my way just to get my hair done. Why? Because the end result is phenomenal. If you want to look and feel your best, you must try bishops. Everyone deserves to look and feel as good as I do when I leave bishops at least once in their life. I'm hooked so ill be going there as long as mitzi, melinda, dusty, or christopher are there. Period.

This is a great salon. Been going here for about six years now and I absolutely love it. I drive about two hrs round trip and its worth it all. Mitzi is so good at everything she does. When you leave her shop you leave feeling so good and satisfied

I've been going to Mitzi for years. She understands a girls crown and glory. I think she rocks on medium to short hair. She explains why she colors or highlight a haircut. I do believe blondes are her specialty but that's just me. Mine has always been bright and perfect. I would recommend her salon. As of lately I have seen her train some new really creative stylist. Great prices too.

I've been working for Mitzi since I've been out of beauty school. It is because of her training and education that I am the stylist I have become today. Having worked for Mitzi for about six years now, I have been able to be a part of such a great team. Her talent and guidance have been the reason why her salon is such a success, and I'm proud to have been part of it for so long.

If you are looking for a team of dedicated and extremely talented stylists, come check out Bishop's.

I will truly miss Mitzi and the salon team since I will be going off to school for natural medicine soon. You guys will always be my family. Love you all!

Devastating!. Four weeks ago, I went to Mitzi's Salon to get my hair colored, some highlights and a trim. I left with about 1/4 less hair. Over the next week I continued to lose even more hair. Maybe I should begin at the beginning.

For two years I have been going to another Salon, the person who did my hair has moved out of state. I decided to go to Mitzi. I jokingly felt good about being able to afford her services. If you've been to Bishops and have sat in Mitzi's chair, you know it's a bit disconcerting that she looks at herself more than she looks at her hair. The last two times I have been in the Salon, there has been massive turmoil with Stylists crying and her taking time away from her client to go talk to someone not doing a good enough job. I would tell you to be prepared to wait an eternity as well. Four hours for my grey to be covered, some highlights and a trim. Not one time, every time...but I want to save you from that.

I am not quite sure exactly what happened and she has texted me two different explanations. Here's what I've been able to piece together. She put three times the normal amount of foil, applied bleach all the way down the hair and sat me under the dryer. She admits about 7 minutes too long.

I had hair breaking off when she went to cut it. When I said, What is this?! Why is my hair falling out?! She proceeded to tell me it wasn;t, that I just needed some Damage Remedy (a product) Um....I don't have damaged hair...The first time I came, I wondered why my hair seemed so dry. This second time, It's amazing I left with any hair. The front and sides of my hair are fried. I have three large "holes" in the top of my head where that hair just fell out completely.

I know it may sound a bit shallow, but I have truly been devastated. I feel ugly. I look terrible. I cannot believe the answer to my hair for the next six months is cool hair, no heat, hats and time. How do you think that feels for someone to take that from you?

She was kind enough to send me a refund. However, there is not a price tag for what she took from me. I have spent $150 on protein packs, I'm wearing hats, I paid someone to style it for a work event and today I had three inches cut off and was consoled by a Professional hair stylist that it would just take time.

This woman does not ever need to have her hands in another person's hair. RUN! I am not kidding! I will post pictures so you can see my before and afters.

My experience. I went out one Saturday on a mission to find a place to get my hair cut. I stopped at several places, including a new one in Belle Meade (can't recall the name but near the French Shoppe) where there was no one there.....very weird. Walked in.....no one at the check-in table.....no one in the chairs. Deserted. I called out, "Hello" several times but.....*crickets chirping* nothing. I got a very uneasy feeling so left in a hurry.

That's when I found Bishop's Styling & Spa Boutique. Although they weren't very busy, which worked out for me since I didn't have an appointment, I was greeted instantly by David, the owner, who had a customer in his chair. He did a great job on my hair. I wanted a few inches taken off the length and he gave me long layers. Even while wet, I loved the cut. That's how I know I'm going to like it styled .... if it looks good wet. LOL

The cost was a little more that I normally pay for a hair cut, which I thought was high. $70 before tip. I normally pay that for a cut AND color. I have another appointment next week for a cut & color. I've been coloring my own since the salon in Bellevue I was going to did not re-open after last years flood. :-( I'll be back again to review after the next appointment to let you know how the color goes. I've been saving $$ for this appointment! LOL

Mitzi. I had my hair done with the owner and I will never forget this horrible experience!!! I went from a beautiful blonde and just wanted some depth in my hair. I asked for golden highlights (and told her to stay warm that I hated cool tones) and she turned my hair to a dark ash-grey hue. I was completely mortified and crying and she demanded that I pay for the service after I told her I was going somewhere else to get it corrected. If she had already messed up that bad I didn't trust her to fix it! She was very rude and inconsiderate and humiliated me in front of everyone. I will never forget her unprofessional behavior and have nothing nice to say about her!

Thanks Bishop's Salon and Day Spa!. My husband and I were lucky enough to win a head to toe makeover at Bishop's Salon. My husband and I were welcomed at the door and treated royally during our stay. Amy and Caitlyn did our cuts and Matt highlighted and styled my hair. Amy and Matt worked together to get just the right style for me and Caitlyn was very kind to my husband who was a little hesitant about the makeover! Daisy worked to tame my husband's unruly eyebrows and did a terrific job on my brows and makeup! Everyone made us feel right at home and Matt even returned before our appearance on Talk of the Town on his day off to style my hair! Everyone was professional, friendly and especially considerate. Thank you Bishop's Salon.
