Extremely Disappointed.
I purchased a groupon and made a reservations for a show on their website, got all dressed up and drove 1.5 hours from Clarksville to go. My group showed up and was told that there was no show that night.
They blamed it entirely on Groupon, but I signed up for this on THEIR website and even received a confirmation from Chaffin's Barn.
I was really excited to see the show, I hear its good, but i will not be returning because of this experience.
Now my favorite place! A must see. My husband and I went tonight for the first time and loved it! The buffet was GREAT and the play was amusingly funny and very well acted. Our waiter Don was always refilling our drinks and clearing our plates without us having to hunt him down. WILL go again! The whole staff made you feel at home and relaxed.
I love this place!!!. If you've never been, please do yourself a favor and GO!
We'll be back!. My husband, myself and 4 of our friends drove in from Columbia/ Spring Hill area to visit Chaffin's for the first time and had one of the best nights! The food was delicious! The service great! Our server Eric, was right on time, not to pushy but not to late. The entertainment great! Timely precision..everything moved as planned. The only semi-negative was with the part of June. I have seen this production a few times and I would like to have seen her part used to it's full potential. It was all worth it and we will be back!! Thank you for a great night!
Great food. We haven't been to Chaffin's in awhile. Last night's dinner was such a surprise. It was the best meal I have had in years. My husband couldn't get enough. He said everything reminded him of Sunday dinner at his grandmother's. The service was excellent the chef even came by to visit the table and shared her chess pie recipe with me. We can't wait for the next play now.
Dinner and onstage entertainment come together for an experience even theater-phobes will love..
In Short
This 300-seat theater, located on the outskirts of Nashville, combines a dinner experience with a thespian one. With rustic decor resembling a country barn, the buffet opens at 6pm and serves everything from carved beef and baked salmon to veggie casseroles and fresh salads. The desserts occupy tables of their own. After dinner, diners sit on tiered levels around the stage's perimeter. Actors not currently appearing in a show serve as waitstaff.
impressive. My husband I went to Chaffin's Barn for our anniversary and we were really impressed! The actors/waiters were very talented, the desserts were fabulous, and the play was fun. The only problem is the price, but it's worth it for a special occasion.
A good place to watch a play.. The talent at Chaffins is impressive and well executed. The writing is as good as anything on TV. The atmosphere is cozy enough to allow the show to be enjoyed. The service is quick, friendly and clear - everything I look for service to be. Due to the mediocre quality of the food, I do not recommend eating anything there. Dress comfortably, as the heating and cooling is sporadic, making it stuffy at times. I highly recommend the sweet tea. Chaffins is a good place to see a play or a musical.
Not to be missed!. My husband and I are from St. Louis, Missouri and were visiting the Nashville area over Memorial Day. We had an absolutely delightful time at Chaffin's Barn. What a wonderful treasure for the people that live in the area! If we lived there, we would go all of the time. If you are visiting the Nashville area, Chaffin's Barn should be on your list of things not to miss. Great show, good people, and good food for a reasonable price.
