Editorial Review for Antonio's of Nashville – by Ashly Callaway
In Short
It seems the quiet city of Bellevue was desperate for an eatery that didn't have a drive-thru. Enter Antonio's, a dimly lit restaurant with elegant white tablecloths, bustling waiters in tuxes and middle-aged suburbanites mingling at the bar. The dining room, though large, has an intimate feel. Certain items, such as luscious Scampi Antonio's--shrimp baked with tomatoes and feta--and traditional salad Caprese with ripe tomatoes and fresh mozzarella, are a delight.

This is a wonderful beyond words restaurant. When you first walk in you are greeted by the inviting scent of Italian bliss. Then, you are seated in the peaceful dining room or the patio. The waiters are very kind and helpful, they always are on top of things and have exceptional suggestions. The food is AH-MAZING!!! The food is always cooked to perfection by the wonderful chef. This is by far the best Italian restaurant in Nashville! I have only had fantastic experiences there.
Pros: Amazing food, Good service, nice people
Cons: NONE!!

It it a treasure to find Antonio's hidden away in Bellevue. The food is freshly prepared, which is my preference. I like to enjoy seeing, hearing and smelling food prepared while having conversation over a glass of wine. I have eaten there many times and have yet to be disappointed. I travel quite a bit and this has the meticulous attention to detail that I rarely find in Nashville. The wait staff is well versed in the menu and have accommodated additions to our dining parties from adding ten to my 2 year old grand daughter with no problem. The best is a romantic dinner for two, taking the time to enjoy the company over food and wine. I am a surgeon and Tony spends the kind of prep time and detail that I can respect. The menu has more than enough variety but each dish stands well on its own. I have tried most everything at least once and recommend the veal, duck or pasta. If you are in a hurry and value speed over freshness, maybe this place is a little complicated for your taste; but to sit down and enjoy dinner with friends and family, this is a wonderful choice.
Pros: well thought out food
Cons: tucked out of the way unless you live in Bellevue
