Great authentic Mexican food, low price,. We just moved here from Los Angeles last year and I was relieved to find Cancun. I tried a lot of Mexican restaurants here and Cancun was the only one that tasted like the genuine Mexican places back in the neighborhoods of L.A. The decor isn't high budget, but I go there for the food. The fajitas are fantastic.
favorite place to eat!. forget all the naysayers! Cancun rocks my face off! great food and great service. Ask for Israel as your sever and you'll love your dining experience! The food is great, the margaritas are great and the prices are great. Everyday has a cheap special with soft drink included. i have been to numorous upon numorous mexian restraunts and this is the best!
Great for satisfying that mexican food craving. I have grown up eating very authentic mexican food, both homeade and from restaurants. Of all the experiences I have had with Mexican Restaurants in Nashville, Cancun is the best so far. The servers approach you requesting your order very quickly, sometimes almost too quickly. However, the orders are also prepared and served promptly. Our favorite things to order are the many different styles of fajitas. They smell excellent as they are being brought to your table and are generally pretty affordable, especially at lunch time. One thing to prepare yourself for is that not all items on the menu are as high quality, taste wise, as others. For instance, simple items like the Chile De Relleno, Tacos, and Burritos are not the greatest. On the other hand, most mexican restaurants in the area have a rather bland taste and Cancun sets itself apart from others in that aspect.
Nothing special here.
Not bad, not great. If you are looking for a run of the mill Mexican restaurant, you will find it here. My biggest complaint would be Jim's Nachos are like something yo would get at a ballgame and no variety of draught beers (no Dos Equis on tap - and you call this a mexican restaurant?).
On the plus side, the portions are generous for the money.
A Family Favorite. This is the best Mexican restaurant in ALL of Nashville. When we lived in Franklin, we would happily drive the 30 minutes to Bellevue for the Jim Nachos. Now that we live in Texas, we always make a point to get to Cancun when in town. And even though we may live in TX, a place where you would think the Mexican food is fantastic, we have not been able to find anything close to the tastes that we love at Cancun.
Very Average. This is a place for people who have want the same type "Mexican" food you can get all over Nashville at probably 50-60 other places, with the same flavors and the same basic menu, taylor-made for people who have not experienced anything else. Their Sunday buffet is a feast for big families, and mostly big people, a mexican-style version of a country buffet where everyone piles their plates way-high with chips and starchy cheeze covered food, guaranteed to make you nap the rest of the day. Though the food is only ok, with a close look around you will see that the dining rooms are in disrepair, and the carpets and walls are dirty. The service is fast and polite.
Friendly Service and Great Food. Everytime I go to Cancun it is wonderful. My husband and I are huge fans. The servers are so friendly and the glasses they give you, your drink in is huge. I like that. You never run out. :) Love the place. I will always go there when I want Mexican food.

GREAT place to go for ANY reason !!
I know I will have been there MANY times by the time you read this !!!
:-)
Order a Special Dinner even when it's not a special occasion..
In Short
Cancun is as authentic as a Mexican fern-bar place can be. Soccer moms and soccer players rub elbows with young couples downing margaritas and families chowing on traditional Mexican grub. The chimichanga is popular--hunks of beef or chicken deep-fried inside a crunchy tortilla and covered with white cheese sauce. Steam from fajitas mixes with the live music in the bar/cantina on weekends.
