Too many restrictions to actually have fun.. We visited Radnor Lake yesterday to scout it out and see if it were a nice place to come back and hike with our dog or mountain bike today. We took a lunch with us to enjoy at the park as well and found that there are no picnic tables available because picnics are not allowed at the park. We also read today online that you cannot jog, bike or have leashed pets on the trails to prevent upsetting the ecosystem and scaring the wildlife.

It sounds to me a lot like the affluent residents around Radnor Lake have made the lake quite snooty and not a place to really enjoy an outing while having fun. Maybe they should restrict small children from the park that may scream when they see a spider as this too may ultimately upset the fragile ecosystem there as well as cause the earth to tilt further on its axis and maybe lead to greater green house gases causing global warming.

Have fun there if you dare.

Hikers and nature lovers find sanctuary at this placid park.. In Short
Located in the Overton Hills in Davidson County, this peaceful park offers diverse habitats and plenty of hiking. Birds like geese, herons and coots are abundant in the region, as well as frogs, lizards, turtles and other animals. Wild flowers can also be seen here, depending on the season. The 85-acre lake, for which the area was named, is popular for photographs and nature studies.

Wild, in every manor of the word. Love to run and hike in this beautiful forest. Watch out for the cracks in the pavement though, they can be brutal.

Nature's finest. One of the smaller parks, but one of the finest nature walks. The scenery changes with the season, but you'll always encounter smiling people.
