Thanksgiving at Picadilly Cafeteria. My uncle, as a gesture of goodwill this season, treated our family and extended family to a delicious Thanksgiving

Day meal at Picadilly Cafeteria. As we made our way through the serving line, we found a large variety of salads,

entrees, fresh vegetables, breads and desserts. Had I not been visiting for Thanksgiving, perhaps I would have

chosen the fried catfish or one of the chicken entrees. Sticking with the traditional fare I chose the Turkey and

dressing with a side of cranberry sauce. As vegetable sides I had green beans and carrot souffle. The carrot

souffle is in itself true goodness, it is wonderful and easily satifies a sweet potato caserole craving! At our table

of 14 everyone was very pleased with their meals, and felt satisfied with the amount of food they received. Those

who opted not to go with the Thankgiving fare (yes there are always a couple in every family!) found chopped

steak, roast beef and chicken as palatable entrees. Desserts such as pecan pie, cranberry bread pudding,

pumpkin pie and chocolate-peanut butter cream pie were selected by each and recieved favorable marks. We

were attended to by a cheerful staff who made sure our tea and coffee were refilled, plates removed along the way, &

given suffiecient time to enjoy the fellowship without being pressured to vacate our table. My wife were a bit apprehensive

of the notion of a special holiday meal at a cafeteria, but Picadilly Cafeteria more than pleased our entire family.

The only downside, no leftovers!

I would recommend the Picadilly cafeteria for individuals and families; they serve good quality food, affordably,

in a comforatble atmosphere.

User review by mattdm. Great Sunday dinner - turkey and dressing is great. For good homecooked meals with lots of veggies - you can't beat it. Good value also.

not recommended. maybe it's just because we chose the wrong dishes or something, but this place was pretty gross...i would definitely choose luby's over this place...it was clean and all, but the food was just pretty gross...
