I had the best experience at Elan Skin!!

I was referred to Elan Skin by a coworker after complaining about a torturous waxing experience I had a few years back. I promised myself I would never get a wax again but she insisted that Elan was great and I would be in great hands with Lauren. So I gave it a try and was pleasantly surprised! The experince was actually great, not torture like before. It was quick and easy, which is how we all want a waxing to be! I will never go anywhere else!

Disappointed over all

I made an appointment from comments on Citysearch reviews. I have been to several salons, so I though I would try Nathan at Elan . I made an appointment and had my hair cut. He was very friendly and the staff was as well. After a just a haircut, 1 hair product, and tip , I had spent $115. (no color), and I was disappointed. I wouldn't mind spending that much for a great cut. I showed him a picture of a hairstyle that I used to have, and it turned out to be nothing like it. It was uneven, and is not growing out well. I am pulling it back in a ponytail more than I did before I got my hair cut ... I have never had a compliment on my cut since I went to Elan and people at work couldn't tell I got my haircut. Maybe it was just a bad day, but I will not go back. The shampoo, smelled horrible... The pro's were that they did not push any hair products and the staff is friendly... Maybe just a bad experience... but when I pay that much for a hair cut, I would expect to feel great when I come out, not disappointed...

• Cons: Disappointed in the hair cut

Best Colorist for Blonds

I have been highlighting my naturally dark blond hair for years. I never was completely happy with my colorists and was always looking to be brighter but could never articulate it to them. When I moved to Nashville I scheduled an appointment with Julie at Elan and she is incredible. From the first appointment I was in love with her. My hair has never looked better and I get compliments constantly on the color. It's exactly what I have been looking for - perfect color and looks natural. Julie also does a great haircut. I would highly recommend Elan and particularly Julie for anyone, but especially blonds looking for highlights. She's the best!
