Editorial Review for Greenhouse Bar – by Craig Shelburne
In Short
This joint may be Nashville's best-kept secret hideaway. Across the street from the Green Hills Kroger and hidden behind a fence, several people just stumble in. But once it's been discovered, regulars are made out of first-timers. That's because the Greenhouse is, indeed, a greenhouse, complete with hanging plants and potted trees. With several bars and even a porch swing, this is the place for a casual after-work cocktail or a late-night lager.

Insider Tips
When to GoThe Green Hills area is a nightlife wasteland, so don't expect to bar-hop. Either start or end your evening here.
Know Before You GoThe Greenhouse is a needle in a haystack, and Bandywood is hard to find. Use the giant Kroger sign as your landmark: Face its bright-lit entrances and take a left.

We used to go to this place regularly but the new smoking ban has ruined it as the greenhouse bar is now over 21s only and so people are allowed to smoke. There were always come people smoking in this place before, but every time I have been since this change it has been very smoky - far more than it used to be. It now seems to be a magnet just for those that need a cigarette with their beer.
Pros: Great location and staff
Cons: Magnet for smokers

I go here at least twice a week and I absolutley LOVE it!! Great bar staff, wonderful atmosphere and best of all its tucked away in Green Hills where you don't have to fight the traffic and crowds to have a good time with friends. It's not very smoky, has great drinks that are reasonably priced and they now have lots of TV's to watch games on. The only downfall is the plastic furniture, but at least they have plenty of pillows to cushion your tush. Ample parking, plenty of space and where else can you have a drink between a three-tie fountain and a ficus tree?
Pros: Great Drinks & Staff, Ample Parking, Atmosphere
