Not impressed with new changes.. My fiance and I hadn't dined at La Paz since they moved locations from Green Hills to Elliston Place. It used to be one of our top favorite restaurants, so we were very excited to try the new location. In short: we were not impressed at all. The new restaurant is small, noisy, and quite difficult to get to. In addition, the staff is not as friendly. Our waitress was sloppy in pouring and splashed us with drinks multiple times. I ordered the chicken florentine, and a waiter brought me citrus chicken. He initially tried to tell me it was what I ordered, but I quickly corrected him that the chicken florentine would not have sliced mango salsa on top. So, fifteen minutes later, he brought my dish - only to have the mango salsa scraped off that same piece of chicken (with remnants of mango still in the rice) - and some spinach leaves and cheese on top. It is such a shame that a restaurant that I would have recommended to any friend has now become one that I may never visit again.…
VERY GOOD RESTAURANT. La Paz is actually a fabulous restaurant to eat dinner, lunch or meet friends at. I never known one single person that didn't love it. I would definitely recommend it to anyone wanting a good atmosphere and food.…
Don't Eat Here if Looking for Real Mexican Food. I was surprised to see this rated #2 for Best Mexican food. To be nice, the atmosphere is upbeat and trendy. They do have good margaritas. However, the food is bland and the quality so-so. Their tortillas must come out of a bag, and their chicken tastes processed and loaded with preservatives. If you are looking for real mexican, stay away. (Try Nolensville road!) If you have a desire for 'american mexican'- this is your place.…
It's all about choosing the right thing.... La Paz is one of my friend's favorite restaurants, so we went several times for birthdays, post-movie, "catch-up" dinner, etc...I was never a big fan and kept trying different things trying to see what the big deal was. The only things I remember liking were the guacamole and the California quesadilla. All of the safood items I had were not very fresh, and everything else was underspiced (especially the bland salsa!) or tried too hard. La Paz might be one of the few Nashville restaurants that I don't miss since moving away...…
Best tamales anywhere. I've eaten alot of Mexican food, but La Paz has the BEST tamales I've ever had. Their speciality margarita and green salsa is to die for as well. Great outdoor setting.
