Editorial Review for F. Scott's – by Mindy Merrell
In Short
The black-lacquered, '80s decor has softened into the next century, while the restaurant keeps its promise as a reliable choice for a sophisticated dinner with a good bottle of wine, or after-work cocktails and live jazz. The well-dressed, 35-and-over crowd has no use for trendy--they come to eat and be pampered. The food's flavors and textures pair well in creations like perfectly fried oysters with bacon, roasted parsnips over cheddar grits and pistachio-crusted pork medallions.

We went recently for our anniversary and had a very nice dinner. The server was very knowledgeable and he did a very good job pairing wines for us. We liked all our food, but our fish entrees were outstanding! My only knock is that it's a little dated inside, but it is Green Hills so it is what it is. The jazz in the bar is nice touch as well.
Pros: food, service, extensive wine list
Cons: decor

F. Scott's is by far my favorite restaurant in Nashville...and I have certainly been to alot of them. The food and atmosphere are phenomenal. You can almost always be seated in the bar and you are taken care of just as carefully as if you are in the dining area. The jazz is always a nice experience to go along with the food. This is THE place for a romantic experience.
