reasonable prices and timless designs, poor quality many times. BR does have reasonable prices for modern but timeless classic pieces. However, the hems come undone and the buttons fall off in a matter of days. The quality is not at all what it used to be. The salespersons can be a little pushy for you to purchase things, but they are fun too.

It is also one of the few stores where I don't find much prejudice in Green Hills. However, I do have to show my Vanderbilt ID and throw my academic accomplishment and mixed Arabic heritage for people to treat me with due respect. Now that I remember, I did have to throw a few names for the manager to straighten up a little. Not very enjoyable, I must say.

Epitomizing office casual wear, Banana Republic started out as a small vendor of safari-inspired clothing before it was purchased by the Gap in 1983. Since then, it has grown into a brand-name behemoth that one-ups the Gap in quality, status and price--but not necessarily creativity. The core of the collection is constant: versatile staples such as khakis, button-down shirts, denim, T-shirts and jackets in solid, organic colors. Lengths and fabrics change slightly according to the season. Some stores have expanded into bedding, fragrance, bath and beauty, and home-furnishing lines.

Amazing Factory Store!. I recently visited the Banana Republic Factory Store in Opry Mills and was extremely surprised! I received a friendly greeting by every employee as I made my way through the store, and everybody was willing to help me find an outfit. Best place to shop for casual or professional dress! They always have great deals and 25 or 40% off almost everything!
