I must say that I take great offense
with some of the reviews written about Timmons Property. Our HOA has had Timmons as our management company for many years and are very pleased with them. I have been a member of the HOA board for numerous years and have found that in order for any management company to do their job properly – there needs to be good communication between the homeowners, the HOA board and the management company.
The review regarding not taking care of her shrubs and getting the gate fixed – I would suggest this person review the bylaws as more times than not – these items are the direct responsibility of the homeowner – NOT Timmons or the HOA. Unfortunately, there are many folks out there that still have the “apartment dweller” mentality and think everything to do with their home is someone else’s responsibility.
Also – a solution to complaints about your neighbor is also NOT the responsibility of Timmons or the HOA. These folks are not baby sitters responsible for disciplining unruly children – even though sometimes it must seem that way – you – the homeowner must take care of this yourself.
It’s similar to if someone breaks into your home or your neighbor is blaring loud music in the middle of the night - it is YOUR responsibility to call the police – NOT Timmons.
And to the person that sang the praises of Ghertner – please – they were the management company for our property and at one point in time put in a report regarding termite damage stating that they replaced my kitchen floor. Now – if a gutter was replaced or a roof shingle – I may not have noticed – but my kitchen floor? That was a blatant untruth and if I owned a home in an area they managed – I would certainly be leery of the work they say they do – how they spend the association fees, et cetera.
It seems to me that some of these remarks about Timmons Property are so off course as to what we’ve experienced that it seems like maybe a competing company is making things up to try to sway business away from Timmons and to their company and that my friends is what I consider dirty pool.
At any rate – I thank Timmons as a whole - especially Jim Trotter, Amy Eidem and Leslie for taking such very good care of us - we most certainly appreciate them!!!!!
My Condo HOA has worked with Timmons
for about 7 years now. They have been very helpful, and they always ensure the bills are paid, and that we get the best rates on any maintenance or repairs of common grounds and buildings. Timmons works hard to keep everything up and running for us. Timmons was also wonderful help during the May, 2010 Flood. They walked right with us through it all.
For anyone unpleased, I suggest joining your HOA Board of Directors. It is an eye opening experience, and allows for a great opportunity to serve your community.
We had an issue recently in our community and we were concerned that it would cost thousands of dollars. Thank you Timmons Properties for looking out for our community. With the assistance of our manager and the bookkeeping department, we actually saved money. You are the best!
Our HOA Board has been working with Timmons Properties for more than 20 years. Our property manager, Amy Eidem, is always responsive and works well with the Board to help us maintain and manage our property. We are very satisfied with their service and support.
I have to agree with the negative reviews of Timmons. This is my first dealing with them and it's been unpleasant so far. We have a leak in our roof and I can't get them to call me back or answer my e-mails. We finally had to take the situation in our own hands and call a roofer. I'm not sure what I have to do to get them to call me back - wonder if a fire will get their attention. VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!!!!!
I pay $134 a month for association
fees. Not one thing has ever been done by Timmons. My shrubs died. I replaced them. My gate broke, my dad repaired it. After many calls to Timmons, nothing was covered. My roof leaks......what's the point in calling, they either won't show up, or say it's not covered.......but break one association rule and expect the Police Dept. to tell you that your Lavender Blooming Plants are touching the sidewalk. I don't know whom to blame, Timmons or Lenox Place,, but what I do know is that my
$134 a month has gotten me 0! My dad had to fix my gate, and after I had major surgery, my Mom with RA trimmed my Lavender Plants. I feel like I live in a prison!!!!!! ....only I have to pay for it. I had my condo on the market for a year....but due to the economy and reputation of Timmons, was unable to sell....so I'm stuck. Please, Beware! Read the bylaws and know that they will change from year to year.
We work very closely with Timmons and
our manager, Amy Eidem, is the best! Our residents receive her attention and she delegates requests to the proper channels. If anyone is unhappy, maybe it's the relationship of your HOA to Timmons that is the problem. Remember, your management company follows the orders of your HOA.
Love and appreciate you, Amy!!
I bought a house where this business is the HOA management. I had a complaint with one of my neighbors going on for months now. If you address a problem/complaint to this management, they just ignore you by not answering emails/requests/calls or not doing something about the complaint. Worst business/management ever.
Timmons,
Please pay attention to what and when landscapers plant trees and shrubs - generally End of July is not a healthy time for recently transplanted Trees.
Furthermore, monitor subdivision by-laws - nothing seems to apply to the complaince toward by-laws. Very unhappy with services in 5 years
Attention Builders and Developers !! Do your homework before entering into any contract with Timmons. They may be slightly less expensive than the Ghertner's of the world, but you get what you pay for. Property Managers that cannot read contracts, do not understand risk mitigation, and make huge mistakes in representing HOAs. Be very careful in your dealings with their novice staff. Shop around ~!!!
