In Short – The mobile home-style building isn't the kind of place you want to get caught during a tornado, but it is a delightfully tacky, greasy spoon. The narrow bar, congenial bartenders and smoky interior confirm that this is a "burger joint" and make it a popular local hang for the Belmont-Hillsboro crowd. Good Place for Burger & Beer

My friends and I all live near Brown's and drive by there all the time. It always looked a little scary to me, but we stopped by after work last week and it was really good. Definitely won't win a decor competition, but my burger was tasty and the beer was cold. Service was good too. We will definitely be back soon.

Don't let the outside fool you

we went early,had a take out order but decided to eat there.This was first time eating there so i did not know what the food was like,I orderd plain burger,mustard,lettuce,pickle,diet soda & chips.man what a BURGER, it is flavorful.I'll be back,get there early .

Doesn't Pass Inspection

After having heard so much about this diner, my wife and I decided to try it. After getting past the less than desireable surroundings, we decided to order. While waiting for our food, we could see the kitchen staff through an open pass-thru. I observed one of the cooks scratch his armpit with his bare hand and then continue cooking without blinking an eye let alone washing his hands. Where is a Health Inspector when you need one. Needless to say, I will not return nor will I recommend this restaurant.
- Cons: Employees do not follow good food handling practices.

Great place for a burger and fries!

great great shoe-lace fries! The burger is greasy and delicious, as is the company. Browns is the finest of all the dives in nashville! If you are looking for an ice cold beer, burgers, fries and chili, browns is a MUST!
- Pros: Cheap! Fast! Tasty!
- Cons: go somewhere else if you are looking for a lite-bite to eat.

We always take our friends from overseas here, because it is a true southern dive, and the cheeseburgers are amazing.
