Editorial Review for The Trace – by Jonathan Flax
In Short
With its contemporary furniture, black-clad servers and glass front walls that slide up in the warmer months, this local hot spot has an upscale atmosphere. Much of the clientele consists of country-music industry professionals from nearby Music Row. The menu includes a mix of pasta, steaks and salads. In the late evening hours, the restaurant morphs into a bar scene.

I just tried to call to make reservations today, and the number is disconnected and their website has been removed. I finally found a phone number for their previous Private Party/Banquet Planner, and she informed me that they have closed and a new restaurant will be moving in. So, we'll see!

I recently dined at the Trace after taking a bit of a hiatus, and was so happy that what once was a Nashville hot spot, seems to be picking back up. The food quality has improved, and the presentations are, of course, top notch. Bar service can be a bit slow on a busy night, but overall I enjoyed myself. I'll keep coming back.
Pros: Food
Cons: Drink prices
