Editorial Review for Boscos Nashville Brewing Co. – by Laurel Horn

In Short
Hillsboro Village is lively, and so is this brewpub. Tall ceilings and exposed pipes give way to huge metal light fixtures. Big booths that seat up to six are conducive to sharing appetizers. The open kitchen adds to the festive atmosphere. Bar eats are good while customers enjoy the real star: the beer. A best bet is the wood-fired pizza. The famous Flaming Stone Beer is named for the heated stones used during brewing.

5 Star Rating: Highly Recommended

I just wanted to take the time to advocate how much I still enjoy visiting Boscos in the Village. I too am a regular and have yet to experience any dissatisfaction from my service to the management staff. I am always greeted with a friendly face and hello and continue to have pleasant conversations with not only the bar staff, but also the management staff. As someone who use to be in the hospitality industry I know the strife and unpredictability that comes with seasonal and temporary employment. I feel that Boscos goes above and beyond to continue their strong reputation of the friendly pub around the corner. Most employees know me by name as does the management staff. The food is great, the beer is terrific and the service is stellar. Keep doing what you are doing.

I have been a regular at boscos for probably four years now and i have never seen this restaurant at such a low. The attitude by servers seems to be so negative and there is a constant flux of new faces which makes it hard to walk in and feel welcome. I hear rumors of threats constantly coming down from management which seems to evoke a dark cloud upon the place and people are quitting or getting fired left and right. I overheard one of the bartenders get chewed out over something insignificant and was appalIed by the way they were talked to. I hope something is being done to correct this. My viewpoint is shared by many other regular patrons and if this keeps up we wont be very regular any more.

Pros: Great bar service and beer

Cons: Poor management and high turnover. Service in dining area is poor at best.
