I would never recommend this highly overpriced shop. They have very high pressure sales, have run of the mill quality dresses, and, IMO, are misleading if not down right dishonest. My daughter insisted on a Pronovias dress priced at $2K. We looked at it one Saturday and the shop's owner said if we ordered it 6 months in advance, it would be "made to order" and require no alterations. We went back the following week since they were having a "10% off" sale. After I put my glasses on and looked at the quality of the fabric, lace, and workmanship, I realized it was way overpriced but gave in to a crying daughter. She was "fitted" and then we were told there would be alterations starting at $150 once the dress arrived. I did remind them what they said the previous week about it being custom made to fit with the 6 month advance order; the reply was all dresses must be altered. Mother's instinct said "get out of the shop" but daughter's tears won and we ordered it. They asked for payment of the entire $2K+ tax and I said "No" that I would leave a deposit. We agreed on half. At that point the owner decided to tack an extra $100 to the price because it would be a "rush order". I take the blame for being ripped off by Bridal Village. I did not look into any reviews and did not ask anyone what the typical order time or deposits are. Based on the Pronovias website, you typically put a 1/3 deposit, with the next 1/3 at the first fitting and pay for it entirely when you take it home. And the typical delivery is only 4 months. To you other mothers of the bride, stay away from this place. I have heard that the place in Lebanon..the White Room, I believe carries the same brand at much lower prices. I guess we live and learn. After all, it's just money and we can say she haa a $2K wedding dress!

I was blown away when I first went in to Village. The dress selection is eclectic and the service was great, unlike the experience of other reviewers. I found the dress of my dreams and my mom paid on the spot for the dress. Unfortunately I didn't read the reviews until after I had paid for my dress. What others have said is true! I got duped! I paid two times the retail cost of the dress! They told me the owner designed the dress and it was an original! It was a Pronovias dress that I could have ordered from the White Room! So... I have my dream dress, but there is a cloud over my purchase because I now know my dress is not an original AND I overpaid!
Pros: dress selection and location
Cons: jacked up prices and lies about the dresses
