These people are ridiculous!!! I have an extensive and outstanding Administrative Assistant experience in Executive level and the best background, but they never hired me for the position I have applied. I'm graduate of BS with Honour Diploma, but they always respond to me that they found someone else whose skills are more match for job criteria. What the hell are they doing and what kind of recruiters are they when they don't know how to evaluate job seekers Resume/CV! Please, run away and never go to their office!!!
Ashley, oh Ashley. Where do I begin? (a) Let's start with lose the "creaky voice" affectation, it's annoying and unprofessional and besides, you're not Paris Hilton. (b) You may want to also develop a personality at some point. (c) If you want people to work with you, don't talk down to them. Ashley asked me to drive to West End at 5:00 pm for "receptionist/assistant" jobs that she could have told me about over the phone. Then she pointed out I hadn't taken their testing and they sent it to me TWICE, like it was the worst thing she'd ever heard. If she'd done her homework she'd have realized I kept calling and complaining the test link they e-mailed me wasn't working, and I finally gave up. I offered to take the test that night on the spot but she couldn't be bothered. She then told me she questioned my "level of commitment" because I hadn't taken the testing. I said "we're done here" and left. p.s. I have 20 years executive admin/legal experience, and I've forgotten more than Ashley will ever know. Maybe she'll lose her job and have to deal with someone just like her ... now that would be karma.
Ashley Cook is AWFUL. We spoke on the phone & I have never been spoken down to like that in my life. I have almost 15 years of extensive experience in my field yet she spoke to me in a snotty tone and gacve the impression that she could not believe I was interested in the job. I am done with that office as long as she is there!
My first temporary assignment for this company was on a Friday on December 9, 2011. This turned out to be one of the worst days of my life. I get a call from my Fiance' which I did not answer. He leaves me a voice mail stating our HOME had been broken into. Our back door had been kicked IN! My kid's XBOX, WII, DS games, and DS's were gone. I was in an up roar and terribly upset by this unfortunate news! I told the office manager there at my assignment that I would have to go home and gave a brief explanation as to why. She was very sympathetic and understanding. I then called Audrey Hunter at Randstad extremely upset by the news I had just received. Her response was "You're not doing this in front of THEM are you???". I told her I was not and was in the lobby getting ready to leave. At that point she put Ashley Cook on the phone. Ashley Cooke then said that I was being UNPROFESSIONAL and that I needed to stay there, go back up and apologize, and fix the "problem" I had managed to make. She also asked if everything was taken care of at home and then managed to tell me that I was not NEEDED THERE!!! Needless to say I was dumbfounded. Speechless. So I marched back up to the office, apologized, and finished the day there.
Once my day was finished Ashley Cook called me again. She reiterated how unprofessional my actions were and then took the Banking/Receptionist position away from me that they had assigned me for first thing Monday. I was in shock. Not only was I robbed of my children's things, but a job as well!!! How can these witches still be in business when they treat people like this? If I were you, I would STAY FAR AWAY from these women!!!
Waste of time...Agree!. I totally agree with the previous reviews! I filled out all of the information on the randstad website, the next day I got an email from the west end location requesting my resume. I sent it and then was asked to come by the office to register. Audrey Hunter explained the position except didnt tell me is that it was 35 miles from my house! I found out the address the day of the interview at 9am which the interview was the same day at 11am. I called her after the interview and explained that I would like to find something closer to my home. She was super snappy with me and told me that was all she had. She then told me I didnt have any office experience which I have over 10yrs of office and sales experience. If you only have one job opening then why are you considered a job agency?! Either find better employees to work at randstad or close the doors. WASTE OF TIME
Condescending Agency. They are a complete waste of time. I don't think they actually have but maybe one or two jobs. They (Joanne) make excuses why they can't place you, when the real reason is they don't have anything, but money laundering. I thought it was their job to find people work. If you are fabulous I would try another place to get work. After all they tell you to find another place to get work besides them anyhow. How do they know you haven't already tried all the other places and they were a last resort. Bottom line is that they don't care if you are about to be on the streets and have ten years experience with degrees to the watuseee! If you don't have their nasal snoodaholic accent try another agency because all they give is excuses and charge your phone money you could've spent talking with someone else about an actual income that you need.
Worst agency in town. Please don't waste your time with these people, they really don't care what kind of experience you have because they have their own system. They believe for only a receptionist position that ONLY requires you to know how to politely answer phones, and to check patients in you need to have the experience of a CEO. They had me take 4 different Microsoft tests in Excel, Access etc just to see how good I was, when I asked them if this was required for the job they said NO. In the end they did not want to hire me for this positon because my Acess test score was too low. Please don't waste your time with this agency, and if you do - good luck.
