In Short – The Yepez family started this popular flagship in the early 1990s and have watched it grow from a Mexican grocery store to a taco stand. It's now a restaurant and a mainstay of Nashville's Hispanic community. The crowd is 80-percent Spanish-speaking and watch soccer or telenovelas while enjoying extra-thick corn gorditas stuffed with cheese and a variety of meats. A smattering of fearless schmoozing types also come to order these "Little Fatties" in awkward Spanish.
The best

I live very close, and have eaten here a couple of times a week since they were just a grocery with tamales in bags. I have never had a sub par meal, the food is excellent, fresh, and always tasty. The Huevos Rancheros are the best ever. I guess I'm just lucky that I love cilantro!.
Love It!!

I will not eat a gordita if it's not from La Hacienda. Son las mejores de Nashville. I have been coming here since I was 5 years old, and now I'm almost 18. The tacos are really great, just like if I had some in las calles de Mexico D.F. The staff is very friendly. The aguas frescas are delicious. This is a great place to have a casual lunch.
Ok, but certainly not above average

You can tell a good meixican restaurant by its salsa, This was mostly chopped canned tomatoes. Ok, not good. I tried the fried Mojito (Talapia fish) it was bad. It was fried to a crisp! They cut off the top of the filet and I did not get that part. The fish tacos are ok. The chicken tacos were fine. The Chicken Burrito was filled with large chuncks of white chicken meat. Also ok.
If this is the best mexican food in Nashville, I'll have Italian please.
I won't go back.
- Pros: Prices are low.
- Cons: You get what you pay for.
