A little cheesy but great food.. This place is not in the most desirable location in the city and it doesn't look so great from the outside but you will be impressed when your food arrives. They have one of the best salad bars in the city. I had a steak and it was very very yummy.

For the meat-and-potatoes crowd searching for a good steak at a reasonable price.. In Short
With heavy wood, brass and flickering lanterns, this restaurant caters to those seeking quality steak without the expensive extras. But after the elaborate salad bar, the main course is almost anti-climactic. Don't gorge on the salads--you'll find steak, prime rib and seafood entrees consistently tasty. If not, they'll gladly re-cook your order. More like a neighborhood lounge, the piano bar attracts diners waiting for a table, and regulars who come to listen to the live music.

Best steak in Nashville. I recently was required to take a business trip to D.C. I was unable to find a good steak in D.C., or VA. I returned to Nashville and went back to my trusty friend, Barbara White at the Fifth Quarter and had (as usual) the most delicious steak in Nashville.

Still good after all these years. Not the most romantic place, but after being in Nashville for ten years now, this is still a great place to eat a good meal (I had steak, and it was wonderful) It's pretty 90's looking with lots of heavy wood, but that fades away when you're eating consistantly good food!
