Don't recommend- workers were disrespectful and slow- charged an extra $50 for being 3 minutes over the 2 hr . min.- because they left the paperwork in the truck! also lost book shelves- and could care less! go somewhere else-
Best movie experience I've ever had! – Hands down the best moving experience I've ever had! The five guys that loaded our stuff in Nashville, Tennessee, and the three guys that delivered them into our new home in Cleveland, Mississippi, were incredibly friendly and professional.
I've moved five times in my lifetime, and Two Men was heads and shoulders better than any other moving company I've ever used!
I had a 1,500 sq ft house to load, which they said would require two men and one 26 ft truck. They showed up with three men. When they surveyed my house, they realized we had more stuff than expected. So, they brought out two more men to help- at no charge! When they realized I had more stuff than would fit on one truck, I called their main office and made them aware of my predicament. They were able to provide me with a second 16 ft truck for a small additional charge.
If we ever move again (odds are pretty high), I have no doubt I'd use them again.
Not Recommended – Before I start ranting, keep in mind that I am a dainty female who couldn't have moved by myself. I have three main complaints. The first is that I ordered boxes. The movers didn't bring boxes, so we had to move my books, movies, and other items on the floor and just move the big stuff. I'm going to have to make several trips BACK to my apartment and get the rest of my stuff. Why? Because I STILL don't have any boxes. I hired a moving company so they could MOVE me. If I had known that I was hiring two men just to move my washer and dryer, I would have had friends do that. Second. When moving my washer and dryer, we had to wait around for roughly 15 minutes while I went DOOR-TO-DOOR asking for tools to unscrew and unhinge whatever needs to be done to a washer and dryer. Keep in mind that this whole moving process is timed. Fifteen minutes could mean a lot of cash once you pass your two-hr minimum. Third. It was explained to me that if any damage was done to my possessions then Two Men and a Truck would be responsible. That's reassuring. However, they left before I was able to make a proper inspection of my property. I found minor paint damage/chips on my washer and dryer. It isn't enough to make a formal complaint about. And besides, I'm just going to be relieved to be done with them. The two movers were very nice and respectful. They were full of energy and positivity about the task at hand. Other than being forgetful/absent-minded, I have no complaints with them.
Excellent Experience Considering I Moved! – Moving is always stressful and Two Men and A Truck certainly exceeded my expectations. They were thorough. Stayed busy - worked continuously - - so I felt I was getting my money's worth. They handled everything with care and communicated well.
I will use them again if I have to move.

HORRIBLE experience... – This was the worst moving and customer service experience of my life. The "head" mover said almost nothing throughout the move. The other (2nd) mover talked about God and religion throughout the time they were loading our belongings onto the truck. When my husband asked if they needed some help, as the two men appeared to be struggling while carrying our very expensive Italian dresser downstairs from our bedroom to load it onto the truck, the 2nd mover replied, "Through Him all things are possible." He made similar statements throughout the day, which my husband and I both found offensive and unprofessional. When my husband pointed out that the movers had scratched our nearly brand new front-loading washing machine, the 2nd mover became accusatory and threatening. He said, "You can't afford this move, can you? My boss has warned me about people like you. If you want to try to take advantage of us, we can just unload everything from the truck right now. We'll leave it all outside and you can figure out for yourselves how to get it back inside or to your new place. My boss has told me that's how we're to deal with customers like you." Excuse me??! Since when does hired help, hard laborers no less, get to insinuate that my husband and I "can't afford" a move for which we provided a payment method weeks in advance? We had taken photos of all of our large pieces of furniture and appliances incase a dispute regarding whether damage was there prior to the move arose. My husband showed the head mover the photo of our washing machine taken that morning prior to the movers' arrival that clearly showed no scratches on the appliance; the head mover made no verbal reply or other acknowledgement whatsoever that my husband had even spoken to him. When my husband asked the movers to call their supervisor, the 2nd mover refused to do so, insisting that we would have to deal with him and the head mover only. It had begun to rain quite heavily shortly after the movers arrived that morning, so in effort to avoid having our furniture and other belonging ruined by the movers unloading it from the truck and leaving it outside, we dropped the issue planning to contact the franchise owner the following business day regarding our terrible experience and the inappropriate comments and threats made by the 2nd mover. At the end of the day when the movers had finished unloading the truck at our new home, my husband and I went outside to sign the final invoice documenting the total time of the move. The 2nd mover noted the end time of the move as being over and hour and a half past the time it actually was. When my husband used his cell phone to show the men the accurate time, the 2nd mover said in a menacing tone, "Hey man, before you start quibbling about pennies, just remember- we know where you live." Looking back, my husband and I both wish we had refused to sign the final invoice and called the police to file a report based on the implied threats made by the 2nd mover. Unfortunately, it had been such a long and terrible day, neither of us thought to do that; we just wanted both of the movers off our property and out of our lives! I called the Two Men and a Truck office we had contacted to schedule the move several times throughout the next several weeks in attempts to file a complaint about our horrible experience. The receptionist, who was so courteous, friendly, and professional during all of the calls I made to Two Men and a Truck prior to the move, flat out refused to provide me with the name of the franchise owner. She did give me the name of the general manager, but my many voicemail messages to him were never returned. Whatever you do, don't even think about conducting business with this company!
Horrible Business.. – Well, I was moving from Sparta, TN to Nashville TN, I called them and they gave me a quote for 150$, It seemed fair so i said okay. After they got everything there and i already payed a 100$ Deposit i went to their building and then found out i owed an additional 200$! Why you may ask? Because i had some "heavy items" Heaviest thing i own was Maybe 70 pounds. MAYBE. and I tried to argue with him about the quote and what they are charging me was complete bologna but they did not care, and threatened to involve the law, A Mr. Phillip was the one directing these threats of course and i ended up having to pay nearly triple what i waas originally quoted. Worst Buisness Ever. Please for the sake of the good world remove these people from the face of this earth.
Don't Use This Company – I used Two Men and A Truck to move my one bedroom apartment furnishings two streets over from my original place. The men that arrived were very nice, somewhat professional, and OVER THE AGE OF 65 EACH!! I don't mean to sound like an ageist but it took them 4 hours to move my things. They were extremely slow from the beginning, taking smoke breaks, etc. When the company called to see how it was going midway through, I told them, it was going slow. The customer representative pooh poohed me saying these two men (remember, over the age of 65) were some of the best movers they had (?!). The customer service rep. proceeded to call the movers and tell them I thought they were slow, which I thought was a positive move that might pick up the pace a bit. The movers got offended and ended up taking even longer! I ended up helping them out (partly because I felt bad), and doing almost more work then they had. I am not sure if they did it on purpose but the movers get paid extra once you go over the time they schedule you for. This move went well over the 2 hours I was clocked for. It ended up costing nearly $500, 4 hours, and manual labor on my part to move my bed, sofa, and some boxes 2 streets over.
Excellent Movers! – This moving company is the best in Nashville. I recently used them for a mid-week, mid-day move and they were excellent. Darren and Matt were y careful with my furniture, including some unique and antique pieces. No damage to either the furniture or the house-no floor scratches, no wall dings, nothing!
Please consider using this company. I think you will be pleased. They do charge a transit fee which I found reasonable. Even over-the-road truckers get paid for "empty" miles when they are unloaded.
THESE FOLKS ARE THE BEST! – I have moved more times in my day across the country than I care to remember! When I moved to TN a few months ago from MN, I put my household goods into storage. After my house purchase, I needed to get the household items into my home. Since I didn't have anyone locally from whom to get recommendations, I resorted to use CitySearch. I phoned Two Men and a Truck and told the young lady of my last ordeal in moving to Nashville where the folks overcharged me and then went out of business. She assured me they'd send out the "A" team. Well, she did just that! The two fellows from Springfield phoned for an early arrival, but my own drive was too far to meet them early. They were waiting for me at the storage property when I did arrive. They loaded my household items to perfection and quickly pointed out furniture flaws from my previous move where the furniture had been badly mishandled. I requested a second stop due to a furniture purchase. They patiently worked to fit that furniture onto the truck, even though the truck was already pretty full. These guys were the most professional I've come across in any move. And if anyone should know, I would, as I've moved probably 10 times in 20 years. The young lady at the office is also a pure jewel. Make sure you call the right location...this is the one in West Nashville. They are great!!
A great moving experience – I have never used a moving company before and Two Men and a Truck was recommended to me and it was the best thing I ever did! They were at my place earlier than expected and very courteous and helpful and they treated my 20 year old furniture better than it had ever been treated in a move before! I told them I wanted to try to get as much moved as possible in 3 hours and they got it all moved! I highly recommend this company and would use them again without hesitation. Great job guys and thank you for helping to make my moving day that much easier.
