Editorial Review for Portland Brew – by Jonathan Flax
In Short
The row of private study alcoves lining the building's entire left side is the first hint that this popular neighborhood cafe caters largely to students. But comfortable seating out front and on the new outdoor patio provides excellent space to surf the Net while sipping on one of Portland Brew's myriad coffee blends. The menu also includes gourmet sandwiches, such as the cranberries and pesto-inspired Multnomah.

Insider Tips
ParkingSpaces are at a premium in the small lot in front. If it's too packed, seek out parking on a side street or across 12th Avenue South.

So. The whole reason I went to Portland Brew in the first place... I liked the name. I am from Oregon, so I was hoping this place would make it feel a little more like home in Nashville. The coffee is delicious and it is such a cute little place. Portland Brew is somewhere I now frequent. It defiantly has a down to earth vibe and the staff is great.
Pros: Lovely coffee, people, enviroment
Cons: Parking.

Spot on, the best coffee in Nashville. Period. To those who find it hard to park, leave the SUV parked at your over-inflated McMansion and walk or ride a bike to PBrew. Please tip the baristas. Your tips pay not only them, but all who work in the back making the delicious food and cleaning up after your latte spills.
Pros: Food and Service Rock!
Cons: Xtian props are off-putting
