Best Chocolate Pie Anywhere!. Actually, Sylvan Park is the best meat-and-three in Nashville! The food is always excellent. Nice large portions for the price. However, plan ahead ... go there for lunch by 11am and call a day or more ahead if you want to take home an entire chocolate pie! The chocolate pie is simply the best!! Don't leave without having a piece ... even if you take it to go!

Favorite meat and three. I have gone to pretty much every meat and three in the city, and I rank Sylvan Park the best. The food is always incredible. The price and the portions are what I expect from some good ol' comfort food.

I love their squash casserole, probably my favorite item. You can't go wrong with anything at Sylvan Park. I highly recommend it.

This cozy restaurant is a great place to enjoy a home-style meal, but save room for chocolate pie.. In Short
Nestled in a modest old house, Sylvan Park's baby blue walls and crowded square tables are a throwback to the days before fast food and fern bars. The lunch entrees are reminiscent of a Southern, Sunday afternoon feast: turkey and dressing, fried chicken, roast beef with gravy, country ham (fried or baked) and country fried steak. But Sylvan Park keeps its lofty reputation on made-fresh chocolate and butterscotch pies.

Wonderful, and will come again. Overall experience was excellent, the wait staff quick to place your order, checks often enough for drink refills, and always offers desert before the check is closed out. The banana pudding is as close to homemade as you get anywhere.

Good food - Good price. This restaurant, tucked away in the backskirts of downtown Nashville is definitely a treat. The food is delicious, the service is almost always prompt, the crowds are big and the lines are long, and this goes to show that this restaurant isn't playing around when it comes to good ole country cooking. Don't visit Nashville without visiting Sylvan Park. Of course, everyone shouldn't go, since that will make it harder for some of us to actually find a seat.

A Taste of Home. From the melt in your mouth rolls to the chunky chocolate pie, Sylvan Park makes you dream of what your Mama might have cooked if she was raised Southern. The unassuming little building hides some of the best stick-to-your insides chicken n' dumplings and meatloaf ever eaten. I love the green beans and creamed corn. All is served up with plenty of "hons" and smiles. The only potential downside is lack of parking. A must: sweet tea.

Still the best. Sylvan Park is still the best meat & three in Nashville. The taste is consistently fantastic, the portions are large and the prices are low. Of course, their chocolate pie is the absolute best around as is their cornbread. The dining room is in a converted house and is pretty run down. But that adds to the experience. The only negative is the wait during lunch. Highly recommended.

It may look. like you may be at the wrong place, but just

wait til that aroma from the kitchen grabs you.

The country style steak tastes great , and I have

never liked country style steak before Sylvan

Park. Everyone talks about the chocolate pie,

but you might give the butterscotch a try.

It is served on Thursdays.
