They'll say anything for a sale, but once you've paid...crickets. We were told the furniture we bought was in stock, then (oops!) they were out, but it was ordered already and would be delivered within 2 weeks. Three weeks later, we called customer service after our sales rep. told us it had shipped "last Friday" twice, meaning two different Fridays. He apparently lies so regularly, he can't keep his story straight. The real story is that it hasn't shipped from the plant yet. Has. Not. Shipped. They absolutely do not care about their customers. I will not only never buy from them again, I'll tell everyone I know about this experience. Just awful.
Great Service and Affordable.
My wife and I were shopping for a new sofa and had zero luck shopping at the large chain furniture stores. The furniture at those chain stores looked cheaply made and the sales people made me feel like we were shopping at a used car lot. We were fed up with those places so we decided to go to Sprintz just to see what they had to offer.
We knew Sprintz would have a great selection but thought it would be out of our price range (being young newlyweds). When we arrived at the Sprintz showroom, we were very excited to see all of the quality furniture that was in our price range. They had a HUGE selection.
Our salesperson was great too. She went above and beyond. She made recommendations, showed us all of the options, patiently answered all of our questions very thoroughly (I ask a lot of questions) and best of all, she didn't try to over sell and was very professional. This is the type of shopping experience we look for.
We're going back to Sprintz without hesitation every time we need furniture.
No Salesmanship. I went to the store in Cool Springs lookin for a California King bedroom suite. I was informed by the sales person that met me at the door that I would have to make an appointment to go through the catalogs because they didn't know which came in Cal. King. From here I went to the local Ethan Allen. The sales rep there walked me around and showed me every bedroom that came in Cal. King and even copied those beds out of the catalog (in color) for me to take home to consider. Much better service.
After the sale, don't expect service OR honesty. When I purchased a furniture suite from Sprintz, the salesperson claimed they could have the furniture by the time I moved in a few weeks, that the furniture was "exclusively for Sprintz", and that the furniture was an amazing value because they obtained it direct from the factory. However, the furniture arrived several weeks late with no real explanation, damaged, and took a few months for the furniture to be repaired properly. During attempting to get the furniture repaired, I never received returned phone calls from the customer service manager, and had to finally call the general manager to get it resolved. Then, I found that indeed the furniture was readily available elsewhere (although not in Nashville) for MUCH cheaper. Despite writing letters to the company, they have not offered any resolution besides an apology for my dissatisfaction. I would NEVER recommend this company to anyone. The only compliment I can give is that the salesperson could sell an igloo to an eskimo.
My firniture never came!.
After much searching, my husband and I found a beautiful Giovanni leather sofa and love seat. I placed the order in November 2008. We were told that we should receive our furniture in December, however this was not the case. As the end of December inched closer, and we had heard nothing from Sprintz, my husband and I went to the store to check on our order. We were then informed that our order would be in toward the end of January. I then called Sprintz in early January to check on the order and was told that I would be contacted back. I was called back and informed that my furniture was in fact on a boat scheduled to come into the harbor the last week of January. My husband and I were ecstatic. We were assured that the shipment would be received by the second week of February. This was an absolute lie. I received a call today 01/30/08 stating that the furniture manufacturer is going out of business and that Sprintz is canceling my order.
I understand that companies go out of business and that one requires patience when ordering furniture. However I am appalled that Sprintz would lie to me and guarantee that my furniture was on the way only to call me three weeks later and recant. If you decide to order furniture from Sprintz, I would advise that you ensure that the furniture is in stock prior to ordering.
Huge selection, best prices I've ever seen, outstanding customer service. At first Sprintz felt like an overwhelming experience - the showroom is huge and filled with thousands of items. I typically prefer shopping in a smaller, more boutique-like setting; but, once I started working with McLain, one of Sprintz's great sales associates, I found the store to be a fabulous one-stop place to shop for furniture and lighting for our new home. McLain had a great eye for design and helped us focus in on our taste. She knows the showroom floor and manufacturers' catalogs so well that it made shopping in such a huge store a manageable - and fun - experience. Sprintz's prices are by far the most competitive in town, probably because they carry so much furniture! I have ordered six pieces of furniture from Sprintz's and purchased another from the showroom floor - in every case, the customer service was outstanding. Sprintz requested a reasonable deposit; they kept me informed of the delivery dates; and they delivered the furniture on time and in new condition. Bottom line - shopping at Sprintz has been a great experience and, with the help of McLain, I look forward to continuing to shop there!
