Cute Name!.
The name caught our eye, so I went in and ordered a box of this and that to try it out.
The shop looked darling.
The little Strawberry Cake was so moist and delicious. It's my favorite. But the icing was a tad too sweet for my taste.
The Red Velvet Cake had a very rich cake flavor you don't find in most grocery bakeries. I think a cream cheese Icing would be a little better with it though.
The girl told me they were known for their butter cookies - but I didnt't think they were anything special.
I still haven't tried the pecan pie, but it looks delicious.
Always A Perfect Experience.
Not sure about the White Bridge/west Nashville shop... Myabe you guys who have had bad experiences there should check out the shop in Madison on Gallatin Pike. They are AWESOME!
I have never ever had bad service. All the girls are great and bend over backwards to help. Seriously go out of their way to make sure you get exactly what you want. i even had one of the bakers come out and help me design a cake they had never made before and she ended up loving it! It was amazing. Their lemon bars are lemony and you HAVE to try the baby strawberry caked. TO DIE FOR! So next time, make the trip out there and see if you're not more satisfied. Theyve been around a long time and have an amazing reptuation with Nashvillians. Give em another shot..just go to the original shop next time!
Nice little place. I went there and ordered a ton of sweets to try. Their petit fours are awesome, and so are their chess squares. I did not care for the lemon squares, as they don't taste much like lemon. They have more of a crumb take consistency. Their cookie sandwiches are good; the cookies themselves are fresh and sweet. However, they could use a bit less icing. Their magic bars, with coconut and chocolate, are tasty. I was not overly impressed with their wedding cookies, which lacked some flavor. I think that this place should offer more baked goods. I would like to see more fancy cucpakes, kolackis, etc. on the menu.
Sweetest of ALL!!!.
I have been going to Sweet 'n Sassy since I was a little girl, and it has always been amazing! The service is excellent and the girls who work there are so nice. Ordering is always easy with the girls help and I am ALWAYS pleased with what they come up with for me. I have never had anything better than Sweet 'n Sassy!
To other writers who think the girls are rude: they are the most helpful girls. I don't know why anyone would think anything else!
They are Ok. Publix is WAY better! The prices of Sweet N Sassy are alittle too high for the quality! Not many choices for children cakes..and the woman that take the orders are not very friendly..
Rude Rude Rude. The young woman who took my cake order behaved as if she really couldn't be bothered. I told her to make sure there was some bright green on the cake (I wanted to match my table decor). When I picked up the cake the entire thing was green. Another young woman fixed the cake, but she was very condescening. As if I was petty to refuse an all green cake. Rude rude rude. The lot of them.
Skip Sweet N Sassy, Go to Publix. I joined Citysearch today just so I could review Sweet N Sassy. I was thinking about getting cupcakes from Publix for a birthday party but decided to go to Sweet N Sassy because it's close to my house. When I picked them up, I regretted my decision! First of all, they are the smallest cupcakes I've ever had. The taste certainly doesn't stack up to homemade or Publix cake. But most of all, the service was rude. When they handed me the huge box, I looked inside and saw a bunch of cupcakes just scattered in the box. When I expressed my concern that they weren't in any sort of secure container and would easily roll around, she said, "they're just cupcakes, they'll be fine." What? By the time I drove to the party (as carefully as I could), several were smushed and flipped over. What a downer. Next time I'll go the extra mile for something else.
Excellent bakery. You will not be dissappointed with your experience at Sweet and Sassy.Cakes, pies all very good.
