Bare Bones Investment Operation. For a store that tries to bill itself as high-end, the tacky hand-made "Sale" sign taped to the front window deters from that image. And that "sale" sign is up 365 days a year. Inside, the store is old, dark and appears not to have been updated in quite some time. It has a depressing feel.

They only stock basic china pieces. If you want something outside the ordinary five piece place setting be prepared to wait while Crystal's orders it directly from the manufacturer. The same holds true for some of their non-china lines. If you don't find what you are looking for, the sales people have been taught to sell from vendor catalogues.

If I am going to spend a huge amount of money for a nice gift for someone, I want to be able to see it and make sure there are no defects. Crystal's tries to pressure customers into buying based on catalogue photos so the store will not have to stock inventory and eat the profits if the merchandise doesn't move. Crystal's doesn't put the customer first. I'll shop elsewhere.

Exemplary Service -- LIFESAVERS!!!!. Oh, my God! These women saved me. Went in there because I had messed up and waited too late to get a very important/special gift...a Wedgwood teapot...that I was not only buying for someone but buying with a group of people. Macy's, everybody said no way you can get it in your timeframe. But one person said go to Crystal's, those women know china and can work miracles and boy were they right! And even though they DIDN'T CARRY THE PATTERN I needed, they said very calmly don't worry, we'll help you, started looking through big catalogs, etc., and got on the phone. Next thing I know, a Wedgwood India teapot is on its way from England, I guess. Who knows? All I know is that Margaret and Becky at Crystal's are Nashville treasures. Crystal's is LUCKY, LUCKY, LUCKY to have them in their employ and I was BLESSED, BLESSED, BLESSED to find them. Oh, and it's a fabulous shop with great gifts, high-end...you should go. And, hey, if you have a china crisis????????? This is who can help.
