What People Are Saying About Le Peep

In Short – Trendy young things and Belle Meade families flock here; brunch can be a tad noisy. Eggs rule the breakfast roost, so there are plenty of omelets and similar egg dishes from which to choose. Other typical breakfast fare such as bagels, pancakes, French toast and oatmeal round out the menu. Lunch and dinner follow a similar theme of the familiar: salads, sandwiches, pastas, steaks, grilled chicken, seafood and steaks.
Editor's Tips
- Know Before You Go:
- Local painter Jim Gardner's works dominate the decor. It's worth a trip inside just to see his biting take on the society arts crowd that in all likelihood is munching obliviously beneath these canvases.
Not worth it!

Our family of 4 ate at Le Peep on Labor day. We spent $60.00 for a very so-so meal. 35 minutes after placing our order, we asked the waitress where our food was. Several tables that were seated after us had been served. The waitress went into the kitchen and returned with meals for another table (also seated about 10 minutes After us). When she finally returned with our meals, they were all cold. Obviously our plates were waiting on our inept waitress! We won't be back - $60.00 for cold food is ridiculous!
Good Food But Awful People

The food's good although expensive, but the experience can be ruined by the large number of over indulged haus fraus and their ill-mannered children.
- Pros: Good Food Large Portions
- Cons: Self-Absorbed Customers With Poorly Raised Kids

Not worth the drive

We drove from East Nashville to Belle Meade which in distance is not far, but for bad breakfast it is. There are plenty of restaurants between our home and Le Peep that are better. I would even wait 30 minutes in line rather than drive 30 minutes to eat there. I remember liking the one on Elliston before it closed. Our server was not rude, but he wasn't very warm or attentive either. I remember the coffee and juice to be of higher quality at the one on Elliston also. The coffee was weak and the juice tasted like it was concentrate with extra water. I ordered the eggs Benedict and the hollandaise sauce tasted either instant or like it was from a can. It had that gritty Campbells soup flavor. I also had the grits which were a little dry from sitting in a steam table but were edible after adding butter and salt. The omelet my husband had was slightly better only because it did not have very much hollandaise on it. Breakfast was $40 with the tip and I could not help but wish I would have spent my $40 at Marche or Noshville the whole ride home.
- Pros: none
- Cons: food quality to price

decent food - over rated - $30 for breakfast for 2 and the management could care less that we came - the waitress was ok - but the check out - if she could pry herself off a personal phone call to take my money - i am sorry i bothered you - you should not work in customer service - maybe cell phone technique might be a career - Loveless Cafe - much better same money - no attitude! stay away from Le Peep.
- Pros: nice menu
- Cons: terrible management - could care less that we were there- employees using cell
