Editorial Review for Le Peep – by Citysearch Editors
In Short
Trendy young things and Belle Meade families flock here; brunch can be a tad noisy. Eggs rule the breakfast roost, so there are plenty of omelets and similar egg dishes from which to choose. Other typical breakfast fare such as bagels, pancakes, French toast and oatmeal round out the menu. Lunch and dinner follow a similar theme of the familiar: salads, sandwiches, pastas, steaks, grilled chicken, seafood and steaks.

Insider Tips
Know Before You GoLocal painter Jim Gardner's works dominate the decor. It's worth a trip inside just to see his biting take on the society arts crowd that in all likelihood is munching obliviously beneath these canvases.

decent food - over rated - $30 for breakfast for 2 and the management could care less that we came - the waitress was ok - but the check out - if she could pry herself off a personal phone call to take my money - i am sorry i bothered you - you should not work in customer service - maybe cell phone technique might be a career - Loveless Cafe - much better same money - no attitude! stay away from Le Peep.
Pros: nice menu
Cons: terrible management - could care less that we were there- employees using cell

We went to Le Peep on a Sunday morning for breakfast. The wait wasn't long, but the hostess didn't say one word to us, just walked us to a table in the crowded, noisy dining room, plunked down our menus, and walked off. We sat there for about 20 minutes or so without any service at all. This being said, there were literally waiters standing around at another table, doing nothing and completely ignoring us. I also saw the water guy randomly leaving water at tables where people had been seated long after us. After about 30 minutes (and still no service), we got up and left. So, unfortunately, I can't speak for the quality of the food (although, judging by the other reviews here, it's not that great). I'm not sure what this place has done to get such a good reputation (I'm under the impression that it is highly regarded in the Nashville community), but it certainly doesn't deserve it. The people who I did interact with were snobby and the service was pretty much nonexistent. From reading the other reviews, I see this is a common experience at Le Peep.
Pros: Parking
Cons: Snobby waitstaff, poor service overall
