In Short – Friendly and cozy, this sushi restaurant offers a respite for the weary commuter. Customers enter through printed cotton half-curtains right off busy Harding Road into this cheerful one-room restaurant, which features a long sushi bar against the back wall. The hand rolls come standing upright like ice cream cones, and the menu contains Japanese noodle dishes as well. The bar pours beer and wine, including several kinds of sake.

I love this place. I especially love that the chef will make you anything you want, even if it's not on the menu. The prices are very comparable to any other sushi joint in the city, and the fish is always fresh!

I love Asahi!

Asahi is my favorite sushi place in Nashville. I am a simple sushi person. I'd rather order spicy tuna and crunchy shrimp than anything with fancy sauce or deep fried on the outside, and Asahi delivers every time. I have also tried the miso soup, which is yummy. The waitresses and sushi chef are very welcoming and kind. I recommend this to anyone who wants a good, fresh sushi dinner!

- Cons: Not any that would keep me from going here

Excellent Sushi

I'm not sure what's happened since the last reviewer dined here, but I've been here on several occasions and the fish is consistently fresh and well presented. The service is attentive, quick and thorough. The miso soup is quite nice, the tempura is light and correctly cooked, and the cost is comparible to others. All in all, a great West Nashville sushi option.
- Pros: Fresh fish, attentive service, well done!
- Cons: Ambiance on par with other small sushi bars.
