great store stocked with an array of truly vintage clothing, accessories!. i'm surprised the see the unhappy reviews listed here! i've been a venus and mars/silvery moon patron for years! i have never left empty-handed or feeling that i wished they would have had more to choose from! amy and angela have always gone the extra mile for me and done so with a smile and friendly conversation. i would say making GQ magazine's top 100 stores in the country, not to mention being voted best boutique 2006 on city search AND the repeated best of nashville first place awards would stand as their own recommendation-but do visit and see for yourself. i promise you will be pleased! just be sure to keep your eyes open-many of nashville's elite are in and out daily!
venus and mars. I have to concur with a previous submission. I went expecting much more and was disappointed. Expected more but alas, there are always other places to shop.
Vintage for newbies. Avoid unless you like crowds of young people with bad taste. This ain't a collection of great vintage. It's just vintage. Save yourself a buck and go to a thrift store. There are several other vintage stores in town that offer more delicious items. Customer service can be on the snooty side at Venus and Mars and for what?
Stylish individuals on a budget come for out-of-this-world clothing and accessories from the '50s, '60s and '70s..
In Short
Decorated with a heavy coat of orange paint and a few mannequins, the converted bungalow is located in the heart of the Berry Hill shopping district. Vintage coats and men's and women's shirts fill the front, along with a small selection of sunglasses, incense and home accessories. One room is filled with shoes, handbags and dresses ranging from funky '60s sundresses to cocktail attire, with another features racks of suit jackets, pants and more shirts.
Get your vintage fix here!. I recently stopped in to see what the hoopla was all about. I must say that I was impressed with the stock - from pretty flouncy 60s gowns to funky poly tops. Velour is back in style - get the original here - I spotted some velour tops. But what could be better than scoring a pretty in pink wool cardigan. The color is so now and it is very wearable. For $20, I would say it's a great piece for a great value.
a cool place to go and browse. I really liked this shop.. I goin from time to time .. and the young lady amy is always very professional and helpful. Plus shes very pretty and makes you feel welcome ,,,
