it's all already been said: great food and an excellent staff. The exterior may not look the best, but the food is. The staff is fantastic, too. 10 out of 10! Thanks for all the great meals.

Great food, great service what more would you want?. The fresh fish is always great and the menu changes daily, fresh seafood, and a solid wine selection makes this a great value restaurant. My friends and I dine there quite often and Yellow Porch is always an interesting mix of people and flavors. If you go for lunch you have to get their sour cream potato salad, yum the best.

Best Restaurant in Nashville, HANDS DOWN!. Yellow Porch has the best food in Nashville by a landslide. If you are looking to take out of towners to a restaurant around town, this is the place. The Crawfish cakes are amazing, try their mussels too! AND my favorite of course is the shrimp and grits. My fiance is a steak lover and says they have the best filet around as well. If you don't know what wine to order, ask the wait staff, they are happy to help and always have great suggestions. You can't go wrong here!

Great place, friendly service, and good food!. Wow! We had a dinner Wednesday evening at this place. It was recommended to me by my stylist. Wonderful ambiance, romantic and unlike ''traditional'' Nashville. Our server, Johnny, was friendly and upbeat;we were very satisfied with food (appetizers, drinks, entrees, dessert); it was quiet on this weekday evening and we enjoyed light breeze sitting on a porch. Restaurant's hostess, bartender, and other waiters were just as friendly but not overbearing. And best of all-after having a dinner our bill came was not out of this world. Way to go Yellow porch!

Best Nashville Restaurant!. This restaurant has always been my favorite in Nashville! I have a new job as a Concierge in town and I send everyone who asks for a recommendation to the Yellow Porch! Guests at the hotel make it a point to come back and let me know how much they enjoyed the food, service, and atmosphere of the restaurant! The food is outstanding, especially the nightly specials, the wine list is amazing, and I always have excellent service. I can't say enough, this place is great!

A tranquil setting for good conversation and worldly comfort food.. In Short
Behind the non-descript facade and serene atmosphere, an inviting globetrotting menu awaits you. The crowd ranges from attractive middle-aged women deep in conversation with their friends to young artsy couples cooing over glasses of wine. The menu is a motley assortment of worldly home-style dishes. Good bets on the seasonal dinner menu include Moroccan chicken with preserved lemons or the hearty Cuban pork tenderloin with a mango, banana and avocado salad.

Intimate and Charming Establishment. What a great little resturant! The atmosphere, the food, the service and everything involved with this charming place will make it a lunch staple of mine! It is a great place to catch up with friends, take your mother-in-law or just stop in to spoil yourself with some mango tea during a hard week. The food was excellent and the menu provided something for everyone. Indoor and outdoor seating provides an intimate environment with Southern charm. Loved it and will make it a weekly choice!

What a Find!. Love this place, great service, good food (grilled fish) with asian flare, reasonable wine prices, very low key and romantic, easy reservations, good location off the beaten path. I have had multiple meals there including lunch, the grilled fish is always great, the potato salad is wonderful for lunch. Great fruit teas, outdoor dining.... you would never know this restaurant is in the same family is the Flying Horse or Wild Iris's in Brentwood. Recommend this place worth your time and money.

Good Experience. My Fiance and I dined here on 1/15. The food was good....I called to make a reservation and was told, "6:30 will be o.k., but I have a 7:30, so you'll need to be out by then..." Hmmm.....didn't know what to make of that. For a second, I thought I was booking a massage.... Like I said, the food was good. Coming from NYC, it's always good to see original eateries like this one....small, low light, etc... Although the reservation was weird, I'm sure we'll be back. Everyone should get a second chance, right? Everyone, except for our waiter. He couldn't tell us the ingredients in their sangria.

A pleasant lunch. My mother and I had lunch at the Yellow Porch in November 2005. A salad featuring sun-dried cherries steeped in port was outstanding. The other fare--a Greek salad, pasta special with chicken, and dessert--was competently prepared, but not remarkable. The only real drawback was the service; our initial drink order was a long time coming, and a second glass of wine never came at all.

The Yellow Porch isn't likely to compete with such places as Mambu or the Park Cafe. But for a pleasant, casual meal, it can be recommended.
