In Short – Behind the non-descript facade and serene atmosphere, an inviting globetrotting menu awaits you. The crowd ranges from attractive middle-aged women deep in conversation with their friends to young artsy couples cooing over glasses of wine. The menu is a motley assortment of worldly home-style dishes. Good bets on the seasonal dinner menu include Moroccan chicken with preserved lemons or the hearty Cuban pork tenderloin with a mango, banana and avocado salad.
A wonderful surprise

A coworker told me about this place. After reading the reviews I finally decided to make a reservation and go check it out. it was inlaws anniversary an they wanted to try something new. Arrived at the place and there was absolutely no place to park. The place was packed! (Arrive early). Parked on creepy little corner and walked from there. From the outside the place didn't look like much but as soon as we entered the charm and warthm became evident. It was such a cute little place that inmmediately understood why some other people thought it romantic. Our server Todd was wonderful and very knowledgeable about the menu and wine list. I ordered the gnocchi and the paella and finished with the vanilla cremme brulee! It was all wonderful and fresh. My family had similar reactions to the food and service as well as the calm and welcoming environment. We will definitely visit again. Highly recomend this little piece of heaven!
amazing pork chop, questionable service

The first time we went here, it was amazing. The food anyway, and Shaun, our waiter was great. He was attentive and polite, kept our waters full, and seemed to enjoy his job. I believe a lot of their food is locally produced and the pork chop is the best I've ever had.
The most amazing food, however, can hardly make up for a crappy experience based on service. We ate at Yellow Porch again last night and felt like a burden to the hostess and our server. Maybe if I were starving, I wouldn't mind being treated poorly, but since I'm not and there are plenty of very good restaurants in Nashville, I don't think I'll be going back, and I doubt I'll recommend Yellow Porch as heartily as I recommended it before last night. This was the second time we were slighted by our server there. If you choose to go and have the chance to request a server, ask for Shaun or don't go.
- Pros: great entrees, nice ambiance, great bread
- Cons: service, unfriendly hostess
Great option in 100 Oaks

Yellow Porch is a restaurant I could visit at least once a week during spring, summer and fall, and never get tired of it.
Great patio space (even though it overlooks Thompson Lane), great food (the Blue Cheese Celery Soup is wonderful, as well as the bread), great service (this is what Wild Iris SHOULD be doing).
My only advice is to get there EARLY. Otherwise, you'll be circling the non-existent parking lot forever, trying to snag a space.
- Pros: food, patio, service
- Cons: PARKING IS THE WORST
