Love This Place

If you are looking for unique hand crafted custom furniture then look no further. We had been searching for a new island for our kitchen and media cabinet for our den. We had searched for months but could not find exactly what we were looking for due to the size/layout of both our kitchen and den. Karmal Skillington built a custom island that is the centerpiece of our kitchen and a media cabinet that is heirloom furniture quality. We couldn't believe the quality and service we received. The value was incredible as their price delivered and installed was about the same as two other generic cabinet makers had quoted. But instead of cookie cutter cabinets, we have custom, old pine conversation piece furniture for the same price.

Awesome place to find custom and unique furniture!!!!

The minute you walk in the door you are overwhelmed by the light fixtures hanging from the ceiling and then the incredible custom furniture on the floor. You do not know where to go first. I have been doing business with Leigh for about 5 years now and could not imagine going anywhere else. My favorite piece we have purchased is my 8' old pine harvest table. It is the centerpiece of our home and definitely well loved. If you are looking for high quality furniture made with love, come to KM--these pieces are investments that will be passed on for generations. Leigh is great and not to forget Rachel. The two compliment each other and such as pleasure to work with. They will help you with every detail from the style that fits your home, color, and budget. Thanks for a great place--no where in Nashville can you find this type of business.

Best custom furniture shop in Nashville!!! Hands down

My wife and I purchased an old heart pine table and chairs from this establishment close to a year ago. One word...FABULOUS!! We entertain quite frequently and it is the absolute center of attention in our home. There are many replicas (loosely speaking) in the Nashville area, but none compare to the quality of craftmanship and service we found at Karmal -Skillington. I also would like to commend Rachael for her incredible eye and detail to attention. She is awesome! Funny! and a real asset to the company (you would love her). After this experience, I can honestly say that there is no furniture store in Nashville that even compares to the quality and attention that is given to its clients. Five stars all the way around. Thanks Karmal Skillington.

The best place to find a unique piece for your pad!!

When my husband and I were in Nashville we stopped by KM just to look around. My eyes were bugging out of my head because they had the most amazing stuff! Leigh was so friendly when she greeted us and she told us they were having a bullseye sale. Not being great at darts, I said my hubby can probably do it- even he's bad too. Mike got 3 chances and actually got a bullseye on the second throw - wow- 50% on an item in the store!! I brought him over to the crocodile ottoman I was drooling over and he fell in love with it too! It's on the way to Denver as we speak. We are redecorating one of our livingrooms and this will be such a cool and funky centerpiece with a great story to tell. We will be back for a custom table when we redo our Mardi Gras Lounge next year.. Thanks for the great communication and customer service. We both own businesses and know how important that is! Excellent craftmanship and customer service

My wife and I wandered into Karmal-Skillington just to browse, but we couldn't pass on the red leather chairs for our den. When Leigh personally delivered the chairs a few days later, we asked her to see what she could do for our small breakfast room. As we soon discovered, Leigh has a wonderful eye for space and design.

We went with her suggestion and had her build us a custom, counter-height, pine 'Tuscan' table with black-distressed legs; and we also purchased two black leather stools (same brand as our chairs) and a black-distressed sold cherry bookcase for our cookbook collection (also for the breakfast room). We are totally thrilled with our purchases. The quality is superb and the prices are very reasonable - you get what you pay for, and I think Leigh's prices are a great value.

Leigh and her staff take the time to understand your needs and the vision you have for your home. They're not out just to make a sale - they truly want to please their customers. Quality, honesty, value, personal service - you need to check out Karmal-Skillington before you make your next purchase. They also have a good selection of unique mirrors, custom frames, original art, and other accessories.
