I have taken my 2 poodles to Ms Kittys for the past 7 yrs primarily for regular grooming as well as occasional boarding. Honestly I do not know what has happened to that place, at one time it was a superior pet service entity but that has changed and what's worse, no one seems to care. One of my poodles has a health issue, a collapsing trachea - & I only request 1 particular groomer, always. Last week's grooming visit was a nightmare & we almost lost our beloved pet. I was given a pick up time, & was on time, however upon arrival, I was in complete shock at the condition of my pet. He was gasping for air, non responsive to me, and in complete distress. I viewed this as a life threatening situation. No one called me to relay his condition earlier that day, they just said "he's been like this for a while & we've tried to calm him down." I rushed my pet to the vet's office for ER care, and in fact his gums were already turning blue from lack of oxygen by the time we arrived. He was in complete & total distress, so I'm not sure what happened that day, I cannot get anyone to communicate anything other than "we don't know." One concern is what if he were there for boarding? Would they not have had the common sense then to get him help or call me for direction? My vet agreed at his follow up visit today, he would have expired had I not gotten him to the vet for ER care when I did. Now, Ms Kittys claims to have a vet tech on staff so where is this person? When I called after the fact, to inquire, they said she is only part time. Even though any fool working with dogs should have seen my pet was in severe angst and suffering, a potential life threatening situation, I know a credible vet tech would have immediately known he needed oxygen. And that is another question why don't they have anything as simple as a tank of oxygen in case of a pet collapse or respiratory stress until ER help can be sought? I WILL NOT be patronizing Ms Kittys in the future for my beloved pet

Cons: The manager is not in tune with the needs of small dogs & a couple of the front office staff are rude.

Whatever you do - stay away!! We went to get our nails clipped over the weekend & Rita the groomer tried to pick up Rowan (a 90 lb mastiff puppy) by her head using the gentle leader and drag her across the store. Rowan was terrified & resisted & I asked Rita 4 times to let go of my dog b/c she obviously wasn't ready for this. I explained that she was a recent rescue and skittish by nature. Rita told me that she knew what she was doing & again tried to pull Rowan against her will!! This time, Rowan flopped over in total protest & Rita pushed her into the counter to get her to submit. My dog now has a bruised goose egg on her side courtesy of the groomer that "knows what she is doing!!" Rowan scratched the heck out of Rita's arm (deservedly so) in order to get away & I demanded for the 5th time that she release my dog!!! Her scream from the scratch coupled with a lobby of other customers & the chaos scared Rowan even further & Rita ran to the back cussing about my dog. Another employee came out & told me that I would do better taking her to a vet to be sedated. I told her we'd do better with a decent groomer!! (Remember this is only her 2nd time to ever goto Miss Kitty's - she didn't love the 1st time but it went very smoothly b/c she had a groomer that had a clue!!) Rita obviously does NOT know what she is doing. I called the manager today to let him know our experience. He acted like it was no big deal - I was appalled!! I think it is a HUGE deal if this is how one of your employees treats your customers (canine or human!!) He showed absolutely no remorse for the fact that my dog was injured as a result of his irresponsible employee!! There are plenty of other great kennels/ grooming facilities in town to be wasting your money on this one!! STAY AWAY if you don't want your dog to get injured!!!! Try Happy ReTales in Brentwood or Hilltop Pet Resort in Mt. Juliet

Pros: They have cute cookies

Cons: The cookies are overpriced, Rita the groomer is clueless & they could care less if they injure your dog!!
