Dr. Humble

I was under Dr. Humble's care for depression at a hospital in Nashville, TN. His duty was not from a therapeutic nature but strictly psych med. My face-to-face time with him was very minimal (3-5 minutes daily) and I found him to be somewhat distant. I am a college educated female and found a previous rating on this site to be of interest.
HOWEVER, his combative nature (manner) resulted in an “awakening” for me as I found myself standing up to him and this actually gave me back some self-respect. We decided on a termination from services that day and I am thankful to him for our session.
This may not have been the conventional interaction between doctor and patient, yet was effective.
Regards to Dr. Humble.

Thankful for Dr. Humble

Dr. Humble became my sister's doctor when she was admitted to the hospital. She has been ill for several years but the illness had gotten very severe. Her life was to a point that her life was going to undergo a very drastic turn. Due to Dr. Humble's knowledge, concern and belief in time, treatment and care our loved one is much improved. Because of Dr. Humble consistent care and concern she is now home and in much better condition than she was. As I write this review, I have still not met Dr. Humble. I checked this site for a review when he became my sister's doctor...the negative reviews concerned me. I promised myself if I found more positive things to be said of Dr. Humble I would publish them. I have not one negative thing to say. My sister has a scheduled appointment this month and we look forward to finally meeting the doctor that has positively impacted our lives. Thank God for doctors who give so much to those who desperately need them so.

Best psychiatrist I've ever had.

I have seen Dr. Humble for several years. He has saved my life on more than one occasion. He pays just as much attention to me now as he did when I first started seeing him. He also seems to be in a good mood even when I'm every depressed which always seems to helps me out of my funk. I like the support staff in his office - they've never given me a hard time. He has gone out of his way to help me when I'm in a really bad mood. He did put me in the hospital when I was on the verge of committing suicide. If it hadn't for him, I would have been dead a long time ago. I'm sure I'll be seeing a psychiatrist for many years to come - I just hope it will always be Dr. Humble.
- Pros: Always in a good mood when he's at the office.
- Cons: None that I can think of.

I prefer a psych. book over seeing Dr. Humble

Dr. Humble is a friendly enough person and usually works on a timely schedule. He is knowledgeable about medications and how to use them. On the down side Dr. Humble doesn't like to return patient phone calls. So, if you have a problem, make another appointment or "tough it out." He and Becky also detest paperwork. You know that administrative stuff that you don't get directly paid for. So, don't bother them with any of that stuff related to your insurance and drug approvals. It won't get done. Basically I say Dr. Humble is in the medical field for the money, not to help people, and I've never said that about another physician. You'll probably take this review off, but I promise you it's 100% true. I was a patient for 8 months.
- Pros: Knowledge, Good listner, Sends Bills Out Fast
- Cons: Doesn't return calls, No insurance help, Rude staff
