best wine store close to Vandy. i absolutely LOVE going to this store and talking with the staff. everyone knows what he or she is talking about, and always have good recommendations, for wine specifically. they always know what will pair with whatever you are cooking, as well, they have had several series of wine tastings which are a GREAT deal. they have been at omaha steakhouse and for only $15 you get to try 5-6 wines and have apps paired with each, prepared specifically for this event by the executive chef at the steakhouse. all of them were FABULOUS. they also host really fun wine dinners at restaurants around town, and these are also a great deal. usually $50-$60 for 5 course meal with wines paired. really unbeatable. i would suggest getting on their email list, and they send updates about once a week so it's not too overwhelming.

definitely recommend to anyone new to or experienced with wine!!!

Terrible Service. The employees and even the managers are not only lazy and very unhelpful but also in-your-face hostile. If you buy cheap, if you ask any questions, if you bother them in anyway, they'll start huffing and puffing, leaving you with a bad taste in your mouth for the rest of your planned night. I hate going there. Terrible environment to browse, select, and purchase.

Once I had a problem with the order, the employee started banging to register and the manager came over from reading the paper all angry and flustered, throwing his hand up like I bothered him in some great way. This has happened multiple times.

Asides from the service, selection is limited and prices are high at best. The only thing that it has going for it is its location. I go out of the way to buy my wines and spirits. You'd do best to do so too. If not, you'll see what I mean.

the staff is always friendly and knowledgeable, the prices and selection are outstanding.. the staff always greets me when i enter and they always are ready to offer help, or leave me alone when i want to browse. incredible selection of wines and spirits from around the world, and the prices are as good or often better than at other stores.

i once called 5 stores looking for a wine that no one carried in stock, and they were the only ones who called me back, tracked it down, and ordered it for me -- plus, they gave me a discount when i picked up the case! the manager and resident wine geek is david seeley - he knows wine and is always willing to answer my questions, talk wine, and help in any way.

these guys also conduct frequent wine tastings and wine dinners, and they are always a lot of fun - very affordable, informative, and unpretentious. i've checked out all the wine stores in the nashville area and this one is my favorite!!
