Best bar on Broadway!. If your looking for a great time with live music, this is the place to go! Live music from 11 am through 2:30 am! Always great service and great bands! Friendly, hard working staff.
AWFUL!!!.
This is the last place on Broadway I'd take anyone!! It was awful! Wearing make-up doesnt make you beautiful....SMILE once in awhile! Oh yeah, it helps if girls can get drinks from the bar...we have money too!
I always tell my out of town guests that they are more than welcome to go to Tootsies if they want, but I'll be somewhere...ANYWHERE...else on the street!
you'll got into shock mold!!.
i am a performer and have sang for over 40 years. just to go in and see the bands, people, photos on walls, and everyone just haveing a great time.i was some dissappointed that the bands performers were'nt dress up more and u know the flashy stuff butthats just my thing.. i read the reviews and i disagree with those who had bad service or didnt like. go to spargo in l.a if u need to be disappointed.
i loved that upstairs and down had music, staff was very friendly and my favorite person billy block and band was there, he is such a great m.c that u feel like your family and start tapping your feet and yelling ah right u go baby yea. my advice is for every one to walk in as if you your going to have the time of your life.ya all rock!!
Poor Tootsie. How sad that the owners of the Famous Tootsie's Lounge have let it go so bad. It's falling apart and it seems that money is more important than keeping up an aging an formerly great club. Shame on you.
Awesome Fiddle Player.
We were just in Nashville for a convention & visited Tootsies bar everyday.
There was a female fiddle player that played with several of the bands & she was FANTASTIC!
She was playing with a different band everytime we went in & sounded better than all of them!
This gal should be famous by now....Not sure of her name...but I think they called her "Ms. Corey".
Bar was crowded everytime we were there, but worth it to here her play!
Best bar in Nashville!!!. My best friend and I just got back from a long weekend in Nashville. We wanted to try out all the different bars on Broadway and 2nd, but ended up at Tootsie's every night. The live entertainment there is awesome... You MUST hang out upstairs and see Leslie Craig. She is an amazing singer and so much fun! Also, the bartenders are super nice and it's always crowded there.... which goes to show you that everyone has fun at Tootsie's. That was our first time in Nashville and we will go back soon... thanks to Tootsie's!!!! :)
We LOVED Tootsies!!. A friend and I spent three days in Nashville in June. We LOVED Tootsies. Yes, it is old and no, it is not fancy. It is a good, beer drinking, live music, country bar, which is exactly what these Texas girls were looking for. The staff was wonderful and we met a great guy from Atlanta there and partied with him the next night, also at Tootsies. Another friend celebrates her 40th December of '09. She wants to celebrate it at Tootsies. After spending many years in Austin, it is Tootsies and Nashville for us!!!! We stayed in a hotel down the street and felt safe walking to and from the hotel, even after dark. There were many great bar-b-que places close by. We can't wait to go back.
Worst Place I've ever been!!!. I, like everyone else, went to Tootsies when I first moved here. This is the worst bar I've ever been to in any city in the world. I get that it is a historical landmark where a bunch of famous people use to go, but get over yourselves. This bar is nothing but a dump with bad service, rude little boys that call themselves "owners", and bands that make howling alleycats sound good. On top of everything else, you can't move in there, there are fights pretty much every night, it's too loud to here yourself think, and really...what's with the bathroom attendant?!? The ladies room is ten steps below disgusting and you can hardly fit the two women in there that need to use the restroom, let alone some weird woman handing you a towel! I will absolutely never go back to this bar or take any friends that come in from out of town when there are way better places to go on Broadway.(Rippy's patio & The Stage) I know who owns this place, but they seriously need to do something about pretty much every aspect of this pile!
Really good fun.
Definitely a place to visit. Really busy and a great atmosphere. Really is a basic club/pub and the bar staff are really busy & some fairly hot too :)
I've come over from the UK on a Tessitura conference and everyone from the UK and US enjoyed equally. I wasn't into country or bluegrass, but seeing it live has changed my opinion. The only disappointing part was I wasn't ID'd at all in Nashville. I obviously fit in with the mid 30's crowd
Hand.
A singer named Melanie Torrez damaged my hand purposely because we didnt tip her on 8-15--08. We had tipped already several times.
My hand is damaged and I will be seeing the Dr. and a Lawyer
