What People Are Saying About Station Inn

In Short – This unassuming "off-Broadway" venue has been Nashville's foremost home for authentic bluegrass since 1974. With its low ceilings, plywood floors and church-pew seating to the sides and rear, the room oozes a charm and intimacy. Here, the focus is squarely on the top-notch bluegrass, with crowd chatter kept to a respectful minimum. Ticket prices stay low, from $7 to $15 for big-name acts, allowing all incomes to afford a night out.

As a professional Bluegrass musician, I am always thankful for the Station Inn just for exsisting and giving us a place to play close to home. It is one of the few places left in the world where you can hear the top players in Bluegrass and acoustic music in a relaxed (another reviewer called it 'vintage') atmosphere, smoke free and for still bargain prices. I know the real estate values in the gulch are going sky high (as are the buildings) but I hope the Station Inn can stay around forever! (Again, a biased review... I was married there... really!)
- Pros: The Best in Live Bluegrass Music!
- Cons: Not enough parking
Station Inn, NO SMOKING + LIVE Bluegrass music makes for a great club.

Two great clubs in Nashville offer NO SMOKING, The Basement and Station Inn. Ok yes Station Inn is a dive, wood floors, bottle beer, old tables but who cares you came to hear REAL BLUEGRASS MUSIC and you will get it while your breating SMOKE FREE air. Even kids are there with thier parents. DO NOT LET THE OUTSIDE BUILDING SCARE you, go inside and support LIVE MUSIC. July 18, 2006
- Pros: Station Inn, SMOKE FREE with LIVE Bluegrass Music makes for a GREAT Bar.
- Cons: Rundown building but still go in, you will be glad.
great place to listen to the best of Bluegrass

If you want to sit down, relax and listen to your bluegrass favorites, then go for it. Some of the best bluegrass bands. Book a table for the very famous ones.
Live and unique atmosphere, but no room for dancing. If you are young and full of life, you might consider some other clubs or just skip the dancing, shouting and whistling.
- Pros: atmosphere, music, cozy
