Consistent. Ken's is just the place if you consistently want good sushi at a reasonable price. There are only a handful of good sushi restaurants here and for the $$, Ken's is definitely at the top of the list. Don't go here if you're looking for a nice, romantic, dinner, but if you want great sushi in a casual atmosphere, Ken's is the place.

Great sushi and nice workers. I've tried various sushi bars here in Nashville over the years and I consistently go back to Ken's. Sure, it doesn't provide a fancy ambience like Rusan's, but I'd rather have good sushi than fancy decor. The waitstaff there are really nice and are good about paying attention to when you need drink refills and the sushi chefs are cool guys to talk to while you're sitting at the bar. The rolls are always nice, tight and full and the rice is good and sticky. My husband, friends and I have decided that Ken's is just the place to go when we're in a sushi mood.

Perfect for Anynight. While it may not be on the level of Ru Sans, not everyone can afford to pay $50 a night for Sushi. This is one of my favorite places in Nashville to eat. Great food, fresh sushi and great prices! My favorite non-sushi dish here is Mongolian Pork. The sauce is different and spicy too!! Order the Ginger Tomato dressing with your salad. My girlfriend orders extra so she can dip her sushi in it, its so good.

Popular sushi spot near Vandy offers creative takes on original favorites.. In Short
The aesthetic is not Japanese, but it shows the priority is the food, not the feel. Inside, you'll find Vandy profs at the popular sushi bar and in the nonsmoking room up front. Fresh is the watchword for any raw foods and landlocked lovers of sushi trust Kenji Ohno's loyalty to the best of the moment. Appetizers embrace Thai influences with lemongrass and spicy chili-peanut sauces. For square meals, the bento box Mongolian pork is paired poblano-hoisin with traditional scallions.

Worth Your Dollar. If your looking for excellent Japanese food at a price that is fare you've come to the right restaurant. You have the choice of seating at the Sushi bar (which is more of a average counter) booth or table. During lunch-time the entire restaurant is non-smoking. The service for your beverage is slow but seatign is prompt. Groups of 6 or higher an 18% grat. is automatically included.

Was good, not so much anymore.. To crowded, the last time I was there was in the summer. The air conditioning was out, they had the door open. To loud & crowded. Sushi made too rushed. Wait to long.

User review by gizul007. I had been going to Ken's for the last two years (at least once every two weeks), I like the sushi there, but lately the service is just horrible. We had to wait a long time for our beverages (in several ocasions) and the waitresses were rude and extremely forgetful. I don't think I am coming back again, I was really dessapointed with the service. However, If you decide to go and eat there, the katsudon and the sushi are good.

Average sushi, below average service. i used to like eating here.. But recently i have had a series of terrible experiences....

I ordered udon and sushi combination.. the waitress comes back 45 minutes later and and said they ran out of udon..

I learned my lesson.. don't go there when it's busy... maybe at 5pm on tuesday may be your best bet..
