Great Italian Food 4 Good Price!. My husband and I went to Amerigo last time we were in Nashville. We found it through this citysearch site. The food was great and the price was very reasonable. We didn't see any country music stars, but I bet some of them frequent this place. We would if we lived in Nashville!

Nothing Special..... Was here the other night for dinner with friends who love this place and I just don't get they hype. The food actually tastes rather bland to me. Had the Chicken Marsala and it kind of reminded me of the tastelessness of a frozen entree. The restaurant itself is nice and the service was excellent but I only go here to appease the friends would never pick it for myself.

I am very sorry for your bad experience. I can certainly promise you that your Chicken Marsala was not not a frozen entree since we have no freezer in our building. All of our food is prepared one saute pan at a time and we certainly work hard to be sure each pan is exactly the same. Obviously we did not hit the mark on your entree. If you would like to return for another visit on me, please email me at pschamkowski@vividrc.com.

Great Italian food; Great atmosphere. Amerigo has been a staple in my family for years. I love going here. I've never had anything that wasn't good, so feel free to try whatever. I am Italian, and this place gets my seal of approval. The atmosphere is also great. Very low-key and comfortable. Great place to take a date or have a family dinner.

NOT Italian Food-A Joke. If you like chain garbage like O'Charlies, Ruby Tuesdays or TGI Fridays with a boring wine list (Ecco Domani, Beringer, etc.), you will love this. If you enjoy true regional Italian created with flair and a wine list that is unique (Villa Puccini Pinot Grigio, Terra Nostra Chianti et al) then STAY AWAY!!!

Please refrain from using Citysearch as a means of person attack on our business. We have an award winning wine list that includes neither of the wines that you listed. We are not a chain, but a very small group of Italian restaurant that operate under one name. Many of our ingredients are obtained locally and we are a supporter of local farms as well as poultry supplier and artisan cheese maker. We have a sommelier on staff if you would care to discuss the fine wines we offer.

Great food with questionable service.. We made a big mistake when my wife asked to be moved to another table to avoid the draft whenever the front door was opened because we had to change servers. At first ours appeared quited hospitable and knowledgeable but got so busy preparing a large table for a large party that we were forgotten. I asked for hot sauce for my gumbo, which was merely average, and was almost finished before my wife hailed another server to bring it. Wanted wine with entree but server never checked back after someone else delivered food. Finally got a glass half way through the meal. Waited forever for check and was brought a drink order list for the server's large party by mistake. Tracked him down again and finally got out of there. If you can tollerate poor service, the food is great.

okay food, poor value.. Before Eating here, everytime I drove by this restaurant on westend, I told myself, "I have to eat there". Well I finally did, and feel letdown. The staff was friendly, and the food was okay, but the value is awful. I think I paid like $28 for a filet mignon. I have no problem paying a premium for a steak, but I dont even think it was Prime meat. I had a much better steak at Stoney river for less! I know italian restaurants arent steakhouses, but my food did come with pasta which was okay, but nothing better than what I could get at carraba's. My girlfriend didnt really care for her spaghetti and meatballs either. She told me the meatball was good, but the sauce left alot to be desired.

Great Food and Great Service in a Cool Location. We are from Louisville and came into town for the Music City Bowl. We were lucky to find Amerigo. It was very busy because of all the people in town, but we sat in the bar and had a few drinks while we waited. When we got a table we had a great server and a great dining experience. The wine list was great. We had a really great Chardonnay from Italy. I didn't even know they had wines like this from Italy, but it was a great server recommendation. For an appetizer we had the Tennessee Cheese pizza, which was awesome. For dinner we had the Cedar Planked Sea Bass and the Pork Tenderloin. For a dessert, we tried the Creme Brule Cheesecake. All the food and service was great despite how busy it was. While we were there we discovered that Amerigo also has a location in our home town of Louisville. That was great news and we will be sure to visit. All in all a great experience.

Not What it Used To Be. When we first moved to Nashville 10 years ago Amerigo's was one of our favorite places to dine. The last two experiences have been less than satisfactory, thus we will not return. The quality of the food had deteriorated to something less than mediocre and the service was sub-par.

Great Food, Great Service, Great Wine. I recently went to Amerigo's with my wife and a couple of friends of ours. We walked in and saw that it was still busy @8:45 on a friday night. We waited about 20 minutes and then we were placed at a cozy booth in the back away from the main dining room. There was a large party in what appeared to be a private dining room in the back. They were a little loud but the door was closed to the room for a good portion of the evening. On to the service. Our server was great. I think his name was Nick?? or Nathan? He was able to get out table a bottle of wine that was only about 60 bucks, but it was such a great wine. He said it was one of the best wines on the wine list. HE WAS RIGHT! Kudos!! I ordered a steak! I went in expecting to get pasta, but our server talked me into the Filet. My wife got the veal picatta and was more than impressed. We were looking for dessert after dinner. Our server told us his favorite dessert was their newest. The Creme Brule Cheesecake. I was surprised at how big it was. We ordered two of them and gorged ourselves to our hearts delight.

Wonderful job, simply wonderful. If you are looking for a great night out, this is the spot. Great meal at a reasonable price. Thanks a lot Nick? or Nathan? We'll be back!
