Editorial Review for Tin Angel – by Citysearch Editors

In Short
This low-key neighborhood bistro features warm decor, with brick floors and a welcoming fireplace. Vanderbilt types and Hillsboro hipsters come during peak hours, but the restaurant also attracts folks on romantic dates. Flavorful, healthy dishes are offered, like the pasta Mediterranean, tossed with sun-dried tomatoes and artichoke hearts. Steaks, pork chops, chicken and fish dishes are also offered. After meals, diners sip drinks from the cappuccino bar.

Pleasant meal in Nashville. The lamp chops were pretty darn good and the mashed potatoes were pleasing. I am purposefully overlooking the fact that the restaurant has no clue what seafood gumbo is, but the seafood soup with rice was decent. I really like the building decor. The wait staff was hip and friendly. I would recommend this place to people.

Pros: food, service, location

Cons: seafood soup

My friend and I went to The Tin Angel the other night it was a Wednesday night and they were very slow. We could not decide what wine to get so we asked for a sample of a Shraz, the waitress brought us ONE glass for both of us to sample the wine!! That might have been okay if we had been a couple but we were only co-workers. We both ordered the Mahi Mahi with a japanelo & pineapple chuney. The fish was served on a bed of coconut rice. Our meal was wonderful, one of the best pieces of fish I have had in months! The wine was good and we also ordered the house flat bread pizza which was alos wonderful. The food was a great value and the ambiance was warm and inviting. Will definitely go again soon!

Pros: Mahi Mahi, interesting menu

Cons: service was good but quirky personality, ZERO Parking
