Best meat n three in town. I am a native Nashvillian who now lives in Ohio. Every time I come home to Nashville to visit with family I schedule my arrival flight so that I catch Arnold's while they are open. This food is food for the soul. I miss Miss Deborah and Arnold himself (what a character)! I wish you would consider mail order so I can get my roast beef, greens, fried corn, mac & cheese & PECAN PIE!! mmmmm mmmmm good!!!!

Located just outside downtown, Jack Arnold's place has been one of the city's favorite meat-and-threes for decades. The front wall displays hand-signed portraits of regular customers who happen to be known in these parts--everyone from Chet Atkins and the Dixie Chicks to Joe Biddle and ex-Vandy hoops coach C.M. Newton. Served cafeteria-style, Arnold's features basic Southern cooking: roast beef, fried chicken, turnip greens, whipped potatoes, mac and cheese, corn muffins and cornbread.

Fantastic Food. Arnolds country kitchen is by far the best food of this type in Nashville. If you are looking for great tasting food (forget the fine china), this is the place. Good old fashioned cooking, with the best desserts in town. Hightly recommended!

Just like grandma's.. The atmosphere is great, from the decor to the service to the delicious smells coming from the kitchen.
